The ARIA Albums Chart ranks the best-performing albums and extended plays (EPs) in Australia. Its data, published by the Australian Recording Industry Association, is based collectively on the weekly physical and digital sales of albums and EPs. [1] In 2020, 39 albums claimed the top spot; Harry Styles' Fine Line returned to number one on the first chart of the year after spending one week atop the chart in December 2019. Eleven acts, Selena Gomez, Lil Uzi Vert, Dua Lipa, The Smith Street Band, The Teskey Brothers, Vika and Linda, Pop Smoke, Lime Cordiale, Juice Wrld, Joji and Adam Lambert, achieved their first number-one album.

At the 2019 ARIA Music Awards, The Teskey Brothers were nominated for seven awards. They won three categories for the album, Run Home Slow, Best Group, Best Blues and Roots Album and Engineer of the Year.

Folklore is the eighth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was a surprise album, released on July 24, 2020, via Republic Records. After the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, Swift cancelled the concert tour for her seventh studio album Lover (2019). She conceived Folklore during quarantine as "a collection of songs and stories that flowed like a stream of consciousness", working with producers Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff virtually; Dessner and Antonoff operated from recording studios in Hudson Valley and New York City, respectively, while Swift recorded her vocals in a studio set-up at her Los Angeles home.

"Exile" is a song by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, featuring American band Bon Iver. It is the fourth track on Swift's eighth studio album, Folklore, which was released on July 24, 2020. "Exile" was written by Swift, Joe Alwyn, and the band's frontman Justin Vernon, with production by Aaron Dessner and Alwyn. Republic Records sent "Exile" to US alternative radio stations on August 3, 2020.

<i>F*ck Love</i> 2020 mixtape by the Kid Laroi

F*ck Love is the debut mixtape by Australian rapper and singer the Kid Laroi. It was released on 24 July 2020 by Grade A Productions and Columbia Records. Production was handled by twenty-one record producers over the course of the mixtape's four releases, including Benny Blanco, Bobby Raps, Cashmere Cat and Taz Taylor. The original tracklist features guest appearances from Lil Mosey, Corbin Smidzik, and the late Juice Wrld.

"The 1" is a song by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift from her eighth studio album, Folklore (2020). Republic Records released the song for digital download on October 9, 2020, in Germany. Swift wrote "The 1" with its producer, Aaron Dessner; it is a minimal soft rock tune with elements of electronic and indie in the instrumentals. Written from the perspective of one of Swift's friends, the song describes the narrator's newborn positive approach to life and past romance, in a sad but humorous tone, using numerous one-liners.

"Willow" is a chamber folk love song making use of several metaphors to convey the singer's romantic state of mind, such as portraying her life as a willow tree, over picked guitars, glockenspiel, flute, strings, and percussion.
