The ARIA Albums Chart ranks the best-performing albums and extended plays (EPs) in Australia. Its data, published by the Australian Recording Industry Association, is based collectively on the weekly physical and digital sales of albums and EPs. [1] In 2021, 34 albums claimed the top spot; Taylor Swift achieved three number-ones during the year, while her album Evermore spent the first two weeks of the year at number one after spending two weeks atop the chart in December 2020. 14 acts, Barry Gibb, Joff Bush (the composer of the Australian animated series Bluey ), the Kid Laroi, the Rubens, Tash Sultana, Architects, Skegss, London Grammar, Olivia Rodrigo, Tones and I, the Jungle Giants, Luke Hemmings, Lil Nas X and Ruby Fields, achieved their first number-one album.

Rodrigo spent the most weeks at number one in 2021 with her album Sour spending eight non-consecutive weeks at the top, while Swift had the most, achieving three number-one albums during the year (Evermore, Fearless (Taylor's Version) and Red (Taylor's Version) ).

Evermore were a rock band formed in Feilding, New Zealand in 1999, made up of three brothers Jon, Peter and Dann Hume. The band was based in Sydney from 2004 to 2007 and then Melbourne until they became inactive in 2014. "Willow" is a chamber folk love song making use of several metaphors to convey the singer's romantic state of mind, such as portraying her life as a willow tree, over picked guitars, glockenspiel, flute, strings, and percussion.

<i>Rehearsal</i> (album) 2021 studio album by Skegss

Rehearsal is the second studio album by Australian surf music and garage rock band Skegss, released on 26 March 2021. The album debuted at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart. Upon announcement, Skegss' Ben Reed said he was "not expecting it", and CEO of ARIA Annabelle Herd remarked that the band's "good time energy is exactly what we need right now".
