Locks Brasserie was a restaurant in Portobello, Dublin, Ireland. It was a fine dining restaurant that received one Michelin star for 2013 but lost it in 2014 due to the chef leaving. [4] [5]

The head chef of Locks Brasserie who earned the star was Rory Carville. [6] He left the restaurant in July 2013 after which Keelan Higgs took over the kitchen. [7] In February 2015 Karl Breen was appointed head chef. [8]

Locks Brasserie was originally owned by Claire and Richard Douglas in the 1980s. [9] In 2010, Sébastien Masi and Kirsten Batt took over. [1] Locks Brasserie ceased trading on 18 July 2015. [2]

As well as owning several restaurants, Rhodes also had his own line of cookware and bread mixes. Rhodes went on to feature in the ITV1 programme Saturday Cooks, as well as the UKTV Food show Local Food Hero before his sudden death at age 59.

Thornton's was a restaurant that was housed, in the period 2002–2016, in the Fitzwilliam Hotel, St. Stephen's Green, County Dublin, Ireland. It was previously located on Portobello Road since 1989. It became a fine dining restaurant, that held a one-star Michelin rating in the periods 1996-2000 and 2006–2015. In the period 2001-2005 it held a two-star rating. The restaurant closed on 29 October 2016. The space is now occupied by Glovers Alley.

Éric Chavot is a French Michelin starred chef. He was working the head chef at the Bob Bob Cité and Bob Bob Ricard restaurants in London until January 2020, as well as the consultant chef at the Royal Albert Hall's Coda restaurant. Born in Arcachon, Gironde, Chavot was trained at the Boucanier, then at the Patio.

The Capital Restaurant was a restaurant located in the Capital Hotel in Knightsbridge, London, England. The restaurant was established in 1971 and earned a star from the Michelin Guide under chefs Richard Shepherd and Brian Turner. Other notable chefs who have worked there include Gary Rhodes and Paul Merrett.

Gilles Epié is a French chef and was the youngest chef in the world to receive a Michelin Star at the age of 22. He was the owner and executive chef of Citrus Etoile restaurant in Paris near the Champs-Élysées which he operated with his wife Elizabeth from 2005 to 2017. As of 2022, he works as the executive chef of L'Avant-Garde, a modern French brasserie in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., which was named one of the "Very Best Restaurants" by Washingtonian magazine. He is a Member of l'Académie culinaire de France.

It is a fine dining restaurant that was awarded a Michelin star for each year in the period 2010 to present. Bridgestone Guides also lists the hotel as one of the 100 Best Places To Eat. Journalist Pol O Conghaile listed the hotel and restaurant on his The travel hot list 2010 in the Irish Independent.
