Reinas de Costa Rica is a national beauty pageant in Costa Rica that selects representatives to the Miss World and Miss International pageant. After the Miss Costa Rica pageant stopped sending contestants to the Miss World and Miss International pageants in 2006, the franchise was acquired by the Reinas de Costa Rica organization presided by Alan Aleman. However, after two years of absence in the Miss World pageant in 2017-2018, the organization eventually lost the franchise to the newly established contest, Concurso Nacional de Belleza de Costa Rica in 2019. Brenda Castro is a Costa Rican beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Costa Rica 2015 and represented her country at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant. She also represented Costa Rica at Miss Grand International 2019 in Caracas.

Miss World USA 1970 was the 9th edition of the Miss World USA pageant and it was held in Kings Castle in Lake Tahoe, Nevada and was won by Sandra Wolsfeld of Illinois. She was crowned by outgoing titleholder, Connie Lee Haggard of Texas. Wolsfeld went on to represent the United States at the Miss World 1970 Pageant in London later that year. She finished in the Top 15 at Miss World.

Miss Grand Costa Rica is a San José-based female national beauty pageant in Costa Rica, organized separately for in first time in 2022 by the Concurso Nacional de Belleza de Costa Rica, with Erick Solis as the president. The winner of the contest represents the country at its parent competition, the Miss Grand International pageant. Before 2022, the competition license belonged to different organizers, such as the Reinas de Costa Rica organization (2015 – 2017) and the Miss Costa Rica organization (2018 – 2021). Most of the country's representatives at the Miss Grand International pageant during such a period were appointed without organizing the respective pageant.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Miss Grand Costa Rica 2022</span> 1st Miss Grand Costa Rica competition, beauty pageant edition

Miss Grand Costa Rica 2022 was the first edition of the Miss Grand Costa Rica beauty pageant, held at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre in San José on 7 July 2022. Twelve contestants, chosen to participate directly through the national casting held by the Concurso Nacional de Belleza de Costa Rica, competed for the title, of whom a 28-year-old model from Guanacaste, Brenda Muñoz, was named the winner. She then represented Costa Rica in the Miss Grand International 2022 pageant held on October 25 in Indonesia, but got a non-placement.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Miss Distrito Federal</span>

Miss Distrito Federal, formerly called Miss Brasília, is a Brazilian Beauty pageant which selects the representative for the Brazilian Federal District at the Miss Brazil contest. The pageant was created in 1959 and has been held every year since with the exception of 1990–1991, 1993, and 2020. The pageant is held annually with representation of several municipalities. Since 2019, the State director of Miss Distrito Federal is, Mayck Carvalho.
