Mo Bus is a public transport bus service run in Odisha. The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), a special purpose vehicle (SPV), formed under Housing and Urban Development Department of the Government of Odisha operates a fleet of 390 buses to and from the capital. The buses currently operate in two phases, another phase would be established, covering major urban destinations across the Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, Rourkela, Sambalpur, and Berhampur. [1] The service was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik on 6 November 2018.
The buses are equipped with Wi-Fi, closed-circuit television cameras, online ticketing systems and a smartphone application. [2] Automated fare collection system is also there for commuters in the form of the Odyssey City Card. [3]
Back-lit display signage board with city map, seating arrangements, poly-carbonate semitransparent roof cover, dustbins, vertical signage posts including Global Positioning System (GPS) based public information system showing real time information of the plying Mo Buses are featured in the bus queue shelters. The public information system is linked to the Bhubaneswar Operations Centre of the Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited. [4]
Mo Bus depots are assigned places in the served cities where the maintenance of Mo Bus is carried out alongside night parking and workshop facilities.
The origin–destination (OD) terminals are state-of-the-art bus terminals operated by Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) for the origins and destinations of the routes established. [5]

Bhubaneswar is the capital and the largest city of the Indian state of Odisha. It is located in the Khordha district. The suburban region, especially the old town, was historically often depicted as Chakra Khetra and Ekamra Khetra. Bhubaneswar is dubbed the "Temple City", a nickname earned because of many temples which are standing there. In contemporary times, the city is a hub of sports, tourism and IT in the country.
Odisha University of Technology and Research (OUTR) formerly College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar (CETB) is a public unitary technical university under the state government of Odisha located in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha, India. It was established in 1981, by Government of Orissa, as a constituent college of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology. Students are admitted to the college through the Joint Entrance Examination (main) merit list of Government of India. The Institute is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation. The Government of Odisha has granted unitary university status.
Bijayananda Patnaik was an Indian politician and aviator. He served as the 3rd Chief Minister of the State of Odisha from 1961 to 1963 and from 1990 to 1995. He was also the 14th Steel and mines and 1st Coal Union Minister of India from 1979 to 1980 and from 1977 to 1979 and a member of Lok Sabha from Kendrapara from 1977 to 1985. He is the father of Naveen Patnaik, who was the CM of Odisha.
Biju Patnaik Airport is an international airport serving Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha, India. It is situated around 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south-west of Bhubaneswar Railway Station and 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) from the city center.
Rangeilunda Airport, also known as Brahmapur Airport, is a domestic airport serving the city of Berhampur in Odisha, India. It is located adjacent to Berhampur University at Rangeilunda, 10 km (6.2 mi) east of the city centre and 5 km (3.1 mi) from the famous Gopalpur-on-Sea beach. The airstrip was built by the British during World War II.
Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar is a public technical university established by the government of India in 2008, located at Kansapada village, Khordha district, Odisha, India. It is located 24 kms south of Bhubaneswar and 4 kms from Jatni but is named after Bhubaneswar.
Bira Surendra Sai Airport, also known as Jharsuguda Airport, is a domestic airport serving Jharsuguda, Odisha, India. The airport is located 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) north-east from the city centre. The airport is located in Durlaga village, approximately 8.5 km (5.3 mi) from Jharsuguda Junction Railway Station. The airport is named after the revolutionary Bira Surendra Sai and it is the second commercial airport in the state of Odisha. The airport caters to areas like districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundergarh, Bargarh, Debagarh, Bolangir, Subarnapur, Boudh of Orissa and Raigarh, Korba, Surguja, Jashpur districts of Chhattisgarh.
Bhubaneswar City Bus or Dream Team Shahara is a public transport bus service run in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It is run in public–private partnership between Bhubaneswar-Puri Transport Service Limited (BPTSL) and Dream Team Shahara (DTS) under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission. A fleet of 150 buses cover all major destinations across the city; and with Cuttack, Puri and Khordha. The service was started in October 2010. The bus depot is one of the main bus stands connecting to all the other smaller bus stands throughout the city.

Baramunda Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) is the major bus terminus in the city from where buses ply to all the districts in Odisha as well as to neighbouring state's cities like Hyderabad, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, Raipur and Ranchi. City bus service runs in public-private partnership between Bhubaneswar-Puri Transport Service Limited (BPTSL) and Dream Team Sahara (DTS) under JNNURM scheme. A fleet of 185 buses cover all major destinations including Cuttack, Puri and Khordha. Auto rickshaws are available for hire and on a share basis throughout the city. In parts of the city, cycle rickshaws offer short trips. To ease traffic jams, over-bridges at major road junctions and expansion of roads are under construction. In a study of six cities in India, Bhubaneswar was ranked third concerning pedestrian infrastructure. The city scored 50 points out of maximum 100. The government of Odisha introduced the much-awaited Bhubaneswar BRTS in Bhubaneswar.
The Bhubaneswar Metro is a rapid transit system which is under construction for the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in Odisha, India. In the first phase, a 30 km (19 mi) metro trunk route will be created from Trisulia in Cuttack to the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar. Plans are in place to eventually expand to Khordha and Puri.
Āhār Yojanā is a food subsidisation program run by the Ministry of Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare, Co-operation, Government of Odisha to provide cheap lunch to the urban poor at a price of five rupees inspired from the Amma Unavagam of Tamilnadu. It was inaugurated on April 1, 2015 by the Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik on Utkal Divas. The program provides meals in five major cities of Odisha. The actual cost of the food is around ₹ 20 but is subsidised to ₹ 5 with financial assistance from the Odisha Mining Corporation. It is targeted at more than 60,000 people per day.
Arup Patnaik is a retired Indian Police Service officer who served as the 36th Police Commissioner of Mumbai. He retired on 30 September 2015 after a 36-year career in the Maharashtra Police. He is a recipient of the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service in 2003 and the Indian Police Medal for meritorious services in 1994.
Pratap Jena is an Indian politician and the Former Cabinet Minister in the Sixteenth Odisha Legislative Assembly with Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water, Law, Housing & Urban Development portfolios (2019–2022). He is elected as the Member of Legislative Assembly for the fifth consecutive time from Mahanga constituency of Kendrapara. He is also the General secretary of the farmers wing of Biju Janata Dal, Biju Krushak Janata Dal. Earlier, he had served as the Minister of School and Mass Education during his third term (2009–2012) and as the Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Law and Information & Public Relations in his fourth term (2017–2019) in the assembly.

Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana is a universal health coverage scheme launched by Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik. The program extends coverage to approximately 70 lakh families, with the state government allocating a budget of 250 crore rupees. Services:
Amar Patnaik is a former Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) officer under the Comptroller & Auditor General (CAG) of India and former Principal Accountant General (PAG) of Sikkim, Odisha, West Bengal, and Kerala. He opted for voluntary retirement, nine years before completion of his service and joined Biju Janata Dal in the presence of party president and CM Naveen Patnaik on 29 August 2018. Since 28 June 2019, he is the member of the Parliament of India representing Odisha in the Rajya Sabha and general secretary of the BJD Parliamentary Party office, the upper house. He heads the IT-Wing and is also a spokesperson of Biju Janata Dal.
Subhash Chandra Singh is a social activist, people leader and policy maker from the State of Odisha, India. He is the first directly elected Mayor of Cuttack Municipal Corporation, acting Treasurer of Biju Janta Dal and General Secretary of Biju Sramika Samukhya. Previously he has also been member of Rajya Sabha from Odisha and has also served as National spokesperson for BJD. He was elected for Rajya Sabha on 24 March 2020. Being one of the most trusted senior leaders in BJD, he holds the position of Party Treasurer of Biju Janta Dal since 2016.
Cuttack Netaji Bus Terminal or CNBT, is a hi-tech bus stand currently being built by the Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC) over 14.95 acres of land in Khannagar, Cuttack at a cost of ₹90.2 crores. A three-storey bus terminal building has been constructed over two acre land with numerous facilities in offing. The bus terminal is named after the illustrious son of Odisha, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
Puri International Airport is a proposed international airport in the Indian state Odisha, which will primarily serve the Puri region. The airport will be built in public private partnership (PPP) mode near Sipasarubali and Sandhapur areas under Brahmagiri tehsil in Puri district. It will be developed in three phases at an estimated cost of Rs 5,631 crore. A six-lane, high-speed corridor between Biju Patnaik International Airport and proposed greenfield airport will also be built. This will shorten the travel time to 30 minutes. The location of the airport was chosen due to its close proximity to Puri and its famous Jagannath Temple and other tourist attractions. Spread over an area of 1,164 acres, Puri Airport will be operated as the first airport in the Puri city and the second international airport in Odisha. The Fairfax group, Adani Group and GMR Group expressed interest in developing the greenfield airport in April 2024.
Malkangiri Airport is a domestic airport serving the city of Malkangiri in the state of Odisha, India. It is owned by the Government of Odisha, and is operated by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). It is located at Nilimari, 8 km (5.0 mi) south-east from the city centre. The airport has been developed as a regional airport under the government's UDAN Scheme.
