Worcester County is the easternmost county of the U.S. state of Maryland. As of the 2020 census, the population was 52,460. Its county seat is Snow Hill.
Elkridge is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Howard County, Maryland, United States. The population was 15,593 at the 2010 census. Founded early in the 18th century, Elkridge is adjacent to two other counties, Anne Arundel and Baltimore.
Brookeville is a town in Montgomery County, Maryland, located 20 km (12 mi) north of Washington, D.C., and 2 km (1.2 mi) north of Olney. Brookeville was settled by Quakers late in the 18th century and was formally incorporated as a town in 1808. Historically part of the local agricultural industry, Brookeville is now at the northern edge of the densely developed Washington suburbs. The population was 166 at the 2020 census.

Carole Highlands is an unincorporated community in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. It is contained between East West Highway to the south, University Boulevard to the north, Larch Avenue, Hopewell Avenue, and 15th Avenue to the west, and Riggs Road to the east. Carole Highlands borders the adjacent neighborhoods of Chillum, Green Meadows, Lewisdale, and Langley Park in Prince George's County, while bordering the city of Takoma Park in Montgomery County. For statistical purposes, it is part of the Langley Park census-designated place (CDP). The community also has a community association and non-profit: Carole Highlands Neighborhood Association
Norbeck is the area of Montgomery County, Maryland, United States, around Norbeck Road east of Georgia Avenue to Layhill Road. Shortly before the Civil War, free blacks founded Norbeck.
Maryland Route 12 is a state highway on the Eastern Shore in the U.S. state of Maryland. The route runs 30.57 mi (49.20 km) from the Virginia border south of Stockton, Worcester County, where it continues into Virginia as State Route 679, north to Main Street in the city of Salisbury in Wicomico County. The route is known as Snow Hill Road for most of its length and passes mostly through areas of woods and farms as well as the communities of Stockton, Girdletree, and Snow Hill. MD 12 intersects several roads including MD 366 in Stockton, U.S. Route 113 and US 113 Business in Snow Hill, MD 354 in Indiantown, and US 13 near Salisbury. Portions of MD 12 near Snow Hill and Stockton existed as unnumbered state roads by 1910. When the first state highways in Maryland were designated by 1927, MD 12 was assigned to run from Stockton north to Salisbury. By 1940, the route was extended south to the Virginia border and a small incomplete portion between Snow Hill and Salisbury was finished. A dumbbell interchange is planned at the US 113 intersection; however, this project is currently on hold.

It is one of four public high schools in Worcester County along with Pocomoke High School, Worcester Technical High School, and Snow Hill High School. The school was opened in 1954.
The Sturgis One Room School is a historic U.S. school located at 209 Willow Street, Pocomoke City, Maryland. The community used this one room school from 1900 to 1937. It was originally known as Sturgis School and was located on Brantley Road. It was moved to its current location in 1996. The school currently serves as The Sturgis One Room School Museum.

Nassawango Creek is a stream in the U.S. state of Maryland; it is the largest tributary of the Pocomoke River, located on the Delmarva Peninsula. Older variations on the same name include Nassanongo, Naseongo, Nassiongo, and Nassiungo, meaning "[ground] between [the streams]". Early English records have it as Askimenokonson Creek, after a Native settlement near its headwaters.
The Nassawango Iron Furnace was built in 1830 by the Maryland Iron Company to produce iron from bog ore deposits in its vicinity. It is notable for its innovative use of a "hot blast" technique for smelting the iron, which had been developed in England around 1828, and which may have been added to the Nassawango Furnace in 1837. Due to the variable nature of the bog ore deposits, the furnace stopped operations in 1849.

The Stoutsburg Sourland African American Museum (SSAAM) is a history museum located in the Skillman section of Montgomery Township, New Jersey, United States. The museum is located at the Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Church, an African Methodist Episcopal church constructed in 1899. The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 7, 2021.
George Martin Upshur Jr. was an American politician and lawyer from Snow Hill, Maryland. He served in the Maryland House of Delegates and as speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates in 1888. Upshur served as mayor of Ocean City, Maryland from 1896 to 1898. He was president of the Baltimore City Board of Police Commissioners from 1900 to 1904.
