The racial makeup of the CDP was 94.54% White, 3.55% African American, 0.17% Native American, 0.86% Asian, 0.11% Pacific Islander, 0.14% from other races, and 0.63% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.93% of the population.
There were 2,839 households, out of which 32.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.2% were married couples living together, 7.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 21.7% were non-families. 16.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 4.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
