Navdeep Singh Sheoran (born 11 November 2000) is an Indian para javelin thrower. [1] He won the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics. [2] He is also a silver and bronze medalist at the World Championships. [3]
Navdeep Singh hails from Panipat, Haryana, India. [4] His father was a farmer in the village and also ran a milk dairy in the city.
He did his graduation from Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University.
In 2017, Singh won the gold medal for India in the men's javelin F41 event at Asian Youth Para Games, Dubai. [5] He proceeded to win the gold medal at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2021 in Dubai. [6] [7]
Singh finished fourth in javelin throw F41 at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics. He won the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Paralympics. [8] He is also an income tax inspector.
