<i>Scardinius</i> Genus of fishes

Scardinius is a genus of ray-finned fish in the family Cyprinidae commonly called rudds. Locally, the name "rudd" without any further qualifiers is also used for individual species, particularly the common rudd. The rudd can be distinguished from the very similar roach by way of the rudd's upturned mouth, allowing it to pick food items such as aquatic insects from the surface of the water with minimal disturbance.

Squalius is a genus of fish in the family Cyprinidae found in Europe and Asia. Hybridization is not rare in the Cyprinidae, including this genus. S. alburnoides is known to be of ancient hybrid origin, with the paternal lineage deriving from a prehistoric species related to Anaecypris; the latter mated with ancestral S. pyrenaicus. Present-day S. alburnoides mates with sympatric congeners of other species.

Coregonus anaulorum is a species of freshwater whitefish in the family Salmonidae. It is found in the rivers and estuaries of Russia's Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and adjacent Koryakia of the Kamchatka Krai, especially the Anadyr River and its estuary, the Anadyrskiy Liman. It is a benthopelagic fish, and marine populations migrate to freshwater streams to breed.

Alburnoides devolli is a species of small freshwater fish in the family Cyprinidae. It is endemic to the Devoll River in Albania. This species is present only in the upper stream of the Devolli River, due to the geological isolation of its habitat. Various morphological differences such as anal and dorsal fins, distinguish Alburnoides devolli from other Alburnoides species that inhabit Lake Prespa, Lake Skadar or Danube River.
