The southern driftfish or ragfish, Icichthys australis, is a medusafish of the genus Icichthys found around the world in all southern oceans between latitudes 50° S and 60° S, from the surface down to 2,000 m. Its length is from 35 to 80 cm.
Psenes pellucidus, the bluefin driftfish, is a species of driftfish native to the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific oceans where it is found in deep waters to a depth of 1000 m. ). It is also present in low abundance since the mid-20th century in the western Mediterranean Sea which it most likely entered via the Strait of Gibraltar. It can reach a length of 80 cm TL.
Cubiceps is a genus of driftfishes found circumglobally.
Ariomma is a genus of deepwater, marine ray-finned fishes belonging to the family Ariommatidae. Members of this genus are found in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans. Several members of this genus are of commercial importance as food fish. This genus is currently the only known extant genus in its family.
Atheresthes is a genus of righteye flounders native to the northern Pacific Ocean where both species are important commercially.
Hippoglossoides is a genus of righteye flounders native to the North Pacific and North Atlantic oceans.
Pleuronichthys is a genus of fish in the family Pleuronectidae found in the Pacific Ocean.
Nematops is a genus of righteye flounders native to the Indo-West Pacific. Due to their small size and depth of habitation few examples of this genus are caught, and as a result little is known of their morphology and distribution.
Achirus is a genus of American soles native to tropical and subtropical parts of the Americas. They are mainly found in coastal areas, including salt and brackish water, but some species are found in fresh water.
Lophonectes is a genus of small lefteye flounders found in the southwestern Pacific Ocean off Australia and New Zealand.
Taeniopsetta is a genus of small lefteye flounders native to the Indo-Pacific at depths of 150 to 300 m.
Xystreurys is a genus of large-tooth flounders with one species, X. liolepis, found along the Pacific coast of North America from Monterey Bay, California to the Gulf of California and the other, X. rasile, found along the Atlantic coast of South America from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to the southern tip of Argentina.
Hyperoglyphe is a genus of medusafishes native to the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
Icichthys is a genus of medusafishes that are native to the eastern Indian Ocean and the northern Pacific Ocean.

Psenes arafurensis is a species of scombriform ray-finned fish in the family Nomeidae (driftfishes).
Psenes cyanophrys of freckled driftfish is a species of scombriform ray-finned fish in the family Nomeidae (driftfishes).
Psenes sio is a species of scombriform ray-finned fish in the family Nomeidae (driftfishes).
Psenes maculatus is a species of marine ray-finned fish of the order Scombriformes in the family Nomeidae (driftfishes).
