Qlipso Inc. is an Israeli-American technology company, which builds and operates multi-user content-sharing platforms for Flash-based media. The company's social-viewing platform provided users the ability to view and share various forms of media with others, live or asynchronously.
Since April 2010, the company holds the assets of the online video portal Veoh. In May 2012, Qlipso launched a new personal social video sharing platform, called Mixin, [2] which allows users to find their friend's favorite videos, interact with them on the video itself, and discover the trending videos online in a personalized matter. The platform gained more than 200,000 users in the first days after the official launch. [3]
On April 8, 2010, it was announced [4] that Qlipso had acquired substantially all of the assets [5] of online video portal Veoh, which in 2008 had approximately 17 million unique visitors monthly. [6] Qlipso used the acquisition to add a broad and established base of users, along with revenue, [7] to its content-sharing service, while integrating its social-viewing features into Veoh's mainstream online video platform. Qlipso is led by an international team of established video game and digital media industry veterans. Qlipso was founded in September 2007 [9] by Ishay Pnueli, a veteran of the video game and technology industries. Jon Goldman, who previously founded and served as CEO of the video game development company Foundation 9 Entertainment, joined Qlipso as CEO in early 2009.[ citation needed ] Qlipso was incubated and funded by Jerusalem Venture Partners [10] and now headquartered in Los Angeles, California, with additional offices in New York City and Jerusalem, Israel.[ citation needed ]
Friendster was a social network game based in Mountain View, California, founded by Jonathan Abrams and launched in March 2003. Later, the company became a social gaming site based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Before Friendster was redesigned, the service allowed users to contact other members, maintain those contacts, and share online content and media with those contacts. The website was also used for dating and discovering new events, bands and hobbies. Users could share videos, photos, messages, and comments with other members via profiles and networks. It is considered one of the original social networks.

+972 Magazine is a left-wing news and opinion webzine, established in August 2010 by a group of four Israeli writers in Tel Aviv. Noam Sheizaf, a co-founder and the +972 chief executive officer, said they wanted to express a new "and mostly young voice which would take part in the international debate regarding Israel and Palestine". AddThis was a free social bookmarking service that could be integrated into a website with the use of a web widget. Once the widget was added, visitors of a website using the service could bookmark or share an item using a variety of services, such as Facebook, MySpace, Pinterest, and Twitter. AddThis collected users' behavioural data, even if they do not share anything. The site reached 1.9 billion unique visitors monthly and is used by more than 15 million web publishers. The service operated under companies including AddThis, Inc., AddThis, LLC, and Clearspring Technologies, Inc. until the company's acquisition by Oracle Corporation on January 5, 2016. AddThis would continue to run until all services were terminated on May 31, 2023.

Multiply was a social networking service with an emphasis on allowing users to share media – such as photos, videos and blog entries – with their "real-world" network. The website was launched in March 2004 and was privately held with backing by VantagePoint Venture Partners, Point Judith Capital, Transcosmos, and private investors. Multiply had over 11 million registered users. The company was headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida but moved to Jakarta, Indonesia early in 2012 and recently announced intentions to switch to e-commerce, dropping the social networking aspect entirely. Quantcast estimates Multiply had 2.47 million monthly U.S. unique visitors at their peak on July 30, 2012.

BlogTV was a live-streaming video blog service reintroduced by MadCow Disease Media LLC, in January 2016. BlogTV was first established in Ramat Gan, Israel in January 2004 by founders Ilan Ben-Dov, Dan Chen, Guy Eliav, Nir Ofir, and Oren Levy as a webcasting company. The service operated under the Tapuz brand. BlogTV's goals were to provide a means for anyone with Internet access to express their talents and ideas to the world. In 2006 BlogTV launched its Canadian activity under the name BlogTV.ca. BlogTV.com was officially launched in June 2007 in the US and the rest of the world. Users could create live video shows, interact with their audiences or invite co-hosts to join their show over the internet or by using WAP. The broadcasters were able to broadcast to their audience with a webcam. The platform also included a chat system. The site had a promotional partnership with ICQ, an IM platform. YouNow acquired BlogTV.com on March 13, 2013.
