Mohammad Tauqir is an Emirati cricketer. He is a UAE national. He is a lower order batsman and off-spin bowler, he played his first game for UAE in the final of 1996 ACC Trophy. He has been part of the UAE team in the last three ICC Trophys and last six ACC Trophys. His best bowling performance came against Japan with 6–10 off 10 overs in the 2000 ACC Trophy.

The 2014 ICC World Twenty20 was the fifth ICC World Twenty20 competition, an international Twenty20 cricket tournament, that took place in Bangladesh from 14 March to 6 April 2014. It was played in three cities — Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet. The International Cricket Council announced Bangladesh as host in 2010. It was the second consecutive time that an Asian country hosted the event, with Sri Lanka hosting the previous tournament in 2012. Peter Joseph Moor is a Zimbabwean cricketer, who now plays for Ireland. He plays as a wicket-keeper batsman and is a former vice-captain for the Zimbabwe cricket team. Moor holds an Irish passport and, since 2021, has played cricket in Ireland in order to qualify to play for the Ireland cricket team. In June 2022, Moor was selected in an Ireland Development XI to play a four-day game against Gloucestershire 2nd XI. On 4 April 2023, Moor made his international debut for Ireland.

The 2016 Asia Cup was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that was held in Bangladesh from 24 February to 6 March 2016. It was the 13th edition of the Asia Cup, the fifth to be held in Bangladesh, and the first to be played using the T20I format. Usman's List A debut was also against the Netherlands, in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship, on 27 January 2016. His Twenty20 International debut too was against the Netherlands on 3 February 2016. Usman made his One Day International debut against Scotland on 14 August 2016 in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship.
Iftikhar Ali is a Pakistani-born international cricket umpire based in the United Arab Emirates. He made his international umpiring debut in a Twenty20 International (T20I) match, between Ireland and the United Arab Emirates, on 14 February 2016. He was one of the eight umpires to stand in matches in the 2016 ICC World Cricket League Division Four tournament. He officiated in his first One Day International (ODI) match, between Scotland and Hong Kong, on 22 January 2017.
The 2017 Desert T20 Challenge was an international Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament that was held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi from 14 to 20 January 2017. The eight Associate Members of the International Cricket Council that have T20I status were scheduled to take part. However, Papua New Guinea declined to participate and were replaced by Namibia. Therefore, matches with Namibia were played as Twenty20 matches.
Ahmed Shah Durrani is a cricket umpire from Afghanistan. He officiated in his first Twenty20 International (T20I) match, between the United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan, on 14 December 2016. He stood in his first One Day International (ODI) match between Afghanistan and Ireland on 17 March 2017. As of March 2023, he had officiated in 7 ODIs and 14 T20Is.
Hazratullah Zazai is an Afghan cricketer. He made his international debut for the Afghanistan cricket team in December 2016. In February 2019, he scored an unbeaten 162 runs off 62 balls against Ireland, which is the highest individual score by an Afghan batsman in a Twenty20 International.
Izatullah Safi is a cricket umpire from Afghanistan. He stood in his first One Day International (ODI) match between Afghanistan and Ireland on 7 December 2017. His Twenty20 International (T20I) umpiring debut, on 6 February 2018, was in a match between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.
Bismillah Jan Shinwari is an Afghan cricket umpire. He has stood in matches in the 2017 Ghazi Amanullah Khan Regional One Day Tournament and the 2017–18 Ahmad Shah Abdali 4-day Tournament in Afghanistan.
The 2021 Summer T20 Bash was a series of Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket matches played in the United Arab Emirates in October 2021 between Ireland, Namibia, Papua New Guinea, Scotland and the United Arab Emirates. The UAE played one match against Namibia and three matches against Ireland, Scotland played one match against Namibia and one against Papua New Guinea, and Papua New Guinea and Namibia played one match against each other. The matches were used as preparation for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
Akif Raja is a Pakistani-born cricketer who plays for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He played in one first-class match for Lahore Shalimar in January 2014 in the 2013–14 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy in Pakistan.
