Raja Rab Nawaz HI(M) is a Vice Admiral [1] and Flag Officer in Pakistan Navy, presently serving as the Commander Coast (COMCOAST), [2] [3] responsible for overseeing all the coastal units of Pakistan Navy. [4]

Education

The Admiral is an alumnus of the Pakistan Navy War College, Lahore and National Defence University, Islamabad. [5] [6] Furthermore, he holds a master's degree in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, California, United States. [7]

Career

Commissioned into the Operations Branch of the Pakistan Navy in 1991, Rab Nawaz has built a distinguished career marked by extensive experience in various Command and Staff appointments. His command roles include serving as the Commanding Officer of PNS ZULFIQUAR, [2] [3] [5] [6] Commander West, [2] [3] and Flag Officer Sea Training. [2] Additionally, he has held staff positions such as Fleet Operations Officer to Commander Pakistan Fleet, [2] [3] [5] [6] Director of Operational Research, [2] [3] [5] [6] Director Naval Operational Plans, [2] [3] [5] [6] Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Plans), [2] [3] [5] [6] Chief Staff Officer to Commander Pakistan Fleet, [2] [3] [5] [6] and Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Welfare & Housing). [1] Rab Nawaz has also represented Pakistan as the Defence and Naval Advisor in the United Kingdom. [2] [5] [6]

Awards and decorations

In acknowledgment of his meritorious services, Vice Admiral Rab Nawaz has been honored with the Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) [8] [9] and the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military). [10] [11]
