The South American Football Confederation, known by the acronym CONMEBOL or CSF, is the continental governing body of football in South America and it is one of FIFA's six continental confederations. The oldest continental confederation in the world, its headquarters are located in Luque, Paraguay. CONMEBOL is responsible for the organization and governance of South American football's major international tournaments. With 10 member football associations, it has the fewest members of all the confederations in FIFA.
The South American Youth Football Championship, also known as U-20 South American Championship and Spanish: Torneo Juventudes de América, "Campeonato Sudamericano Sub 20" or Portuguese: Juventude da América is a South American football tournament organized by the CONMEBOL for South American national teams of men under age of 20. This tournament also serves as qualification for the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The Copa América Femenina, previously the Campeonato Sudamericano de Fútbol Femenino, usually shortened to Sudamericano Femenino, is the main competition in women's association football for national teams that are affiliated with CONMEBOL. It is the women's version of the Copa América.
The CONMEBOL Copa América de Futsal is the main national futsal competition of the CONMEBOL nations organized by the FIFA. It was first held in 1964 and was organized by Asociación Mundial de Futsal (AMF) as "Sudamericano". The tournament was also a qualifier for the AMF Futsal World Cup. The AMF organised the championship until 1989.
The South American U-17 Championship, branded as CONMEBOL Sub17, is a football competition held every two years for South American under-17 teams. The tournament was born in 1985 out of a need for a classification tournament for the newly created FIFA U-16 World Cup. For the first three editions, the competition was limited to under-16 teams. Afterwards, the age limit was raised one year. The tournament is held every two years. Since the first edition, Brazil has been the dominant force of the tournament, winning a record thirteen times.
The Peru national under-17 football team represents Peru in international under-17 football competitions and is overseen by the Federacion Peruana de Futbol. The qualified for two World Cups, their best result being in 2007, where the Jotitas reached the Quarter-finals. The teams best result in the South American U-17 Championship was a Fourth Place finish in 2007.
The South American Under-20 Women's Football Championship, officially the CONMEBOL Sub20 Femenina, is an international association football competition for women's national teams. It is held every two years for South American players under the age of 20 and serves as a qualification tournament for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. In its inaugural year, 2004, it was played by U-19 players.
The Peru women's national football team represents Peru in international women's football and is controlled by the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF). They have been a part of the CONMEBOL confederation since its formation in 1996. The Peruvian team has yet to qualify for a FIFA Women's World Cup and is currently ranked 76th in the FIFA Rankings.

The 2019 South American U-20 Championship was the 29th edition of the South American U-20 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by CONMEBOL for the men's under-20 national teams of South America. It was held in Chile between 17 January and 10 February 2019.

The 2020 South American U-17 Women's Championship was originally going be the seventh edition of the South American Under-17 Women's Football Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by CONMEBOL for the women's under-17 national teams of South America. It was scheduled to be held in Uruguay between 15 April and 3 May 2020, before its suspension and subsequent cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2021 South American U-17 Championship was originally going be the 19th edition of the South American U-17 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by CONMEBOL for the men's under-17 national teams of South America. It was scheduled to be held in Ecuador between 31 March – 25 April 2021, before its suspension and subsequent cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2021 South American U-20 Championship was originally going be the 30th edition of the South American U-20 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by CONMEBOL for the men's under-20 national teams of South America. It was scheduled to be held in Colombia between 2 and 27 February 2021, before its suspension and subsequent cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A total of 16 teams compete in the men's football tournament at the 2024 Summer Olympics. In addition to the host nation France, 15 men's national under-23 teams qualified from the tournaments of the six continental confederations.
The 2023 South American U-20 Championship was the 30th edition of the South American U-20 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by CONMEBOL for the men's under-20 national teams of South America. It was held in Colombia between 19 January and 12 February 2023.
The 2025 South American U-17 Championship will be the 20th edition of the South American U-17 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by CONMEBOL for the men's under-17 national teams of South America. It will be held in Venezuela from 4 to 20 April 2025.
