South Konawe Regency (Kabupaten Konawe Selatan) is a regency of Southeast Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. The regency was created on 25 February 2003 from what had been the southern districts of Konawe Regency. It covers an area of 4,237.74 km2 and had a population of 264,587 at the 2010 Census [2] and of 308,524 at the 2020 Census; [3] the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 322,946 - comprising 165,487 males and 157,459 females.< [1] The administrative centre is in the town of Andoolo.
At the time of the 2010 Census, the South Konawe Regency was divided into twenty-two districts (kecamatan), but subsequently three additional districts were created in 2014 by the division of existing districts - Andoolo Barat, Kolono Timur and Sabulakoa. The current 25 districts are tabulated below with their areas and their populations at the 2010 Census [2] and 2020 Census, [3] together with the official estimates for mid 2023. [1] The table also includes the locations of the district administrative centres, the number of administrative villages in each district (totaling 336 rural desa and 15 urban kelurahan), and its postal code.

The Lingga Regency is a group of islands in Indonesia, located south of Singapore, along both sides of the equator, off the eastern coast of Riau Province on Sumatra island. They are south of the populated Riau Archipelago, known for the industrial island of Batam and the tourist-frequented island of Bintan, although the Lingga Islands themselves are rarely visited due to the infrequent local transportation. The equator goes through the northern tip of Lingga Island, the main island in the archipelago.
Sikka is a regency within East Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia, on the island of Flores. It is bordered to the west by Ende Regency and to the east by East Flores Regency. Nunukan Regency is a regency of North Kalimantan Province in Indonesia. It was created on 4 October 1999 from the northern districts of Bulungan Regency. Nunukan Regency shares international borders with the Malaysian states of Sabah to the north and Sarawak to the west, and inter-regency borders with Tana Tidung Regency and Malinau Regency to the south, as well as the coastal city of Tarakan in the east. The regency covers an area of 14,247.50 km2 and it had a population of 140,841 at the 2010 census and 199,090 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 208,303.
Pesisir Selatan Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of West Sumatra, Indonesia. West Manggarai Regency is one of the eight regencies which comprise the island of Flores, located in the province of East Nusa Tenggara in Indonesia. The Regency was created on 25 February 2003 by the separation off of the western districts from Manggarai Regency. It covers a land area of 3,141.47 km2, and had a population of 221,703 at the 2010 census, rising to 251,689 at the 2015 Intermediate census and to 256,317 at the 2020 census. The official estimate as at mid 2023 was 270,917. The regency's capital is the town of Labuan Bajo.
Yapen Islands Regency is a regency (kabupaten) in Papua Province of eastern Indonesia. It covers an area of 2,432.49 km2 (939.19 sq mi), and had a population of 82,951 at the 2010 Census and 112,676 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 116,107. Manggarai Regency is a regency in East Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia, situated on the island of Flores. Established in 1958 the regency was reduced in size and population by the separation of the more western districts to form West Manggarai Regency in 2003 and of the more eastern districts to form East Manggarai Regency in 2007. The area of the residual Manggarai Regency is 1,343.83 km2 and its population was 292,037 at the 2010 census and 312,855 at the 2020 census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 328,758. The capital of the regency is the town of Ruteng.
Konawe Regency is one of the regencies in the province of Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. The capital of the regency is Unaaha. The regency was once known as the district of Kendari. The regency had a population of 241,428 at the 2010 Census, but was subsequently reduced by the separation of the offshore island districts as the new Konawe Islands Regency in 2013. It now covers 6,087.68 km2 and had a population of 257,011 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 262,439. Prior to its division in 2003, 2007 and 2013, Konawe was known as the rice granary of the province of Southeast Sulawesi because half of the province's rice production comes from the Konawe regencies.
Tanggamus Regency is a regency (kabupaten) of Lampung Province, Sumatra, Indonesia. It has an area of 4,654.96 km² and had a population of 534,595 at the 2010 Census and 640,275 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 652,898. The regency seat is the town of Kota Agung Pusat. The regency was created on 21 March 1997, but districts in its eastern part were split away on 29 October 2008 to form a new Pringsewu Regency. It lies in the southwest of the province, and surrounds Semangka Bay on its west, north and east coasts.
Takalar Regency is a regency of South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. It covers an area of 566.51 km2 and had a population of 269,603 at the 2010 census and 300,853 at the 2020 census; the official estimate for mid 2022 was 305,077. The entire regency lies within the official metropolitan area of the city of Makassar. The principal towns are at Galesong and Takalar, but the administrative centre is at Pattallassang.
Kolaka Regency is a regency of Southeast Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. It covers an area of 2,960.73 km2 (1,143.14 sq mi) and had a population of 208,817 at the 2010 Census, rising to 237,587 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 247,680. The principal town lies at Kolaka.
North Buton Regency is a regency of Indonesia's Southeast Sulawesi Province, which was separated from Buton Regency in accordance with Indonesia's Law Number 14 of 2007. The area of the regency, which covers the north part of Buton Island, is 1,923.03 km2. Its population was 54,736 at the 2010 Census and 66,653 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 72,757. The administrative capital of the regency is at the town of Buranga, in Bonegunu District.
North Konawe Regency is a regency of Southeast Sulawesi Province, Indonesia. It was formed on 2 January 2007 by splitting off seven of the northern districts of Konawe Regency to form a new North Konawe Regency. It is surrounded on all landward sides by the remaining area of the Konawe Regency, except in the northeast, where it borders on Sulawesi Tengah Province. It covers a land area of 5,101.76 km2. It had a population of 51,447 at the 2010 Census and 67,871 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 77,391 - comprising 39,823 males and 37,568 females. The principal town lies at Asera.
Southeast Maluku Regency is a regency of Maluku, Indonesia. It is coincident with the Kei Islands, except that the city of Tual, although within the Kei Islands geographically and the seat of the Regency's administration, is since 17 July 2007 technically independent of the Regency. The land area of the Regency is 1,031.01 km2, while the sea area administered by the Regency was 3,181 km2; it had a population of 96,442 at the 2010 Census; this increased to 121,511 at the 2020 Census, and the official estimate as at mid 2023 was 129,034.
Southwest Maluku Regency is a regency of Maluku Province, Indonesia. Geographically it forms the most eastern portion of the Lesser Sunda Islands, although it has never been administratively included with them, and politically has always comprised a part of the Maluku Province. It comprises a number of islands and island groups in the south of the province, including Lirang Island, Wetar Island, Kisar Island, Romang Island, the Letti Islands, the Damer Islands, the Sermata Islands and the Babar Islands. Manokwari Regency is a regency in West Papua, Indonesia. Following the splitting away of twenty of its former districts in 2013, it now covers an area of 3,168.28 km2 and had a population of 192,663 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 200,785. The administrative centre is presently at the town of Manokwari, which is also the capital of the province, but under proposals currently under consideration by the Indonesian Parliament, the town is intended to be split off from the regency to form a separate independent city.
Jembrana Regency is a regency (kabupaten) in the southwest of Bali, Indonesia. It has an area of 841.8 km2 and had a population of 261,638 at the 2010 Census and 317,064 at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 327,850. Its regency seat is the town of Negara.
North Morowali Regency is a regency in the province of Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. The regency was established on 12 April 2013, partitioned from the northwestern districts of Morowali Regency. It covers an area of 10,004.28 km2 and the component districts them in Morowali Regency had a combined population of 104,094 at the 2010 Census. The new regency had 120,789 inhabitants at the 2020 Census; the official estimate as at mid 2022 was 124,006. The principal town lies at Kolonodale.
