Sport Club Corinthians USA is a men's soccer club based in Fontana, CA that currently competes in the NPSL West Region's Southwest Conference. [1] The team have the same name of a famous Brazilian team Sport Club Corinthians Paulista.
Founded in 2010 as a subsidiary of Brazilian club Sport Club Corinthians Paulista, [2] the Sport Club Corinthians USA initially played in Coast Soccer League. [3] The club ceased its partnership with the Brazilian club in 2013. [2] In 2014, the team played the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. [4] Since 2016 the team competes in NPSL.
Sport Club Corinthians Paulista is a Brazilian sports club based in the Tatuapé district of São Paulo. Although competing in a number of different sports, Corinthians is mostly known for its professional association football team, that plays in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, the top tier of the Brazilian football, as well as in the Campeonato Paulista Série A1, the first division of the traditional in-state competition.
