Austin United FC, also known as the Flyers, is an semi-professional American soccer team in Austin, Texas. The team plays in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), as part of the league's South Region's Lone Star Conference. [2]

History

The team was founded in 2017 by Orlando Medrano and played its first season in the NPSL in 2020.The team participated in regional competitions for two years before joining the NPSL in 2020. [3] [4]

The 2015 Austin Aztex season was the club's fourth season of existence. The club is now playing in the United Soccer League, the third tier of the American soccer pyramid. They were previously in the USL PDL the last 3 seasons, where they won the 2013 Championship, and the appeared in the Conference Finals in 2012 and 2014. The Austin Aztex will be competing in the Western conference and will be playing their first season in the newly dubbed USL. The season will begin March 21 and conclude on September 20.
