TV10 (TV tio) is a television channel owned by Viaplay Group broadcasting to Sweden. [3] It specializes in sports and documentaries. [3] [4] The channel started broadcasting on 7 September 2010. [1]

Until the start, the channel is available from several operators such as Boxer, Comhem, Telia, Tele2 and Viasat. From the beginning, the channel took over all sporting events from Viasat's other TV channels. In 2011, however, TV3 and TV6 again began broadcasting sports. Among other things, TV10 is supposed to broadcast American football from the NFL, basketball, boxing and UEFA Champions League.

The audience was strongly critical when it was decided that TV10 would broadcast the SwedenSan Marino match because 70% of households have access to the channel, while sister channels TV3 and TV6 take up 85% of households. [5] [ citation needed ]

Founded in Sweden in 1991, Viasat has previously been owned by Modern Times Group. The channels of both companies were broadcast from London.

TV6 is a Swedish television channel broadcasting owned by Viaplay Group. It has origins in the youth channel ZTV that started broadcasting in the early 1990s. In 2004, MTG started repositioning the channel by introducing sports broadcasts and other programming that mainly targeted men.

TV6 Latvia is an entertainment television channel broadcasting to Latvia featuring series, music, fashion and sports. It was launched on April 22, 2007. The programmes broadcast on the channel include The Simpsons, United States of Tara, Las Vegas, Harper's Island, American Idol, Survivor, My name is Earl, Family Guy, Shark, CSI: Miami, The Office, Sex and the City and more.

V Sport is a group of Swedish sports channels owned by Viaplay Group, broadcasting from the United Kingdom and constituting a part of the pan-Nordic V Sport offering. The Swedish V Sport channels except V Sport Motor and V Sport Extra are also distributed in Finland.

Television began in Sweden in 1954 with test transmissions, prior to the opening of the first station, Radiotjänst, two years later. A second channel was launched in 1969. Commercial television arrived in the 1980s through cable television and in 1992, the country's first terrestrial commercial channel was launched.
