Multiple terrorist attacks have occurred in Davao City metropolitan area during the 20th and 21st centuries. Despite Davao City being consistently ranked as the safest city in the Philippines and one of the safest cities in Southeast Asia, its location in the restive Mindanao region has resulted in several terrorist attacks linked to ongoing jihadist insurgencies, as well as left-wing extremism, within the city and in its surrounding areas.
