Tim Reeves (born 28 August 1972) is an English sidecar racer from Tenterden, Kent. He is an eight times Superside FIM World Sidecar Champion, twice with his younger brother Tristan (2005, 2006), once with Patrick Farrance (2007) and once with Ashley Hawes (2012) as passenger. [1]

In 2014 he won the Superside World Championship and the World F2 Sidecar Trophy in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben with French passenger Gregory Cluze.

In 2008 Reeves and Farrance entered in their first Isle of Man Sidecar TT finishing an outstanding third place in race one and sixth in race two. In 2013 Reeves, with passenger Dan Sayle finally got to the top step of the TT podium in Sidecar TT Race 1. [2]

In the 2008 Sidecar World Championship Reeves and Farrance placed second behind Pekka Päivärinta and Timo Karttiala (LCR-Suzuki GSX-R 1000). . [3]

In 2017, Reeves featured heavily in the film 3 Wheeling , an observational documentary filmed during TT period of 2016. The film premiered on 7 May 2017, [4] followed by a limited theatrical release of 61 screenings in cinema's in Northern Ireland [5] and the Isle of Man. [6]

Biland was instrumental in the development of the Swissauto V4 engine and won his last world title using it.

The 2009 TT races again include a second 600 cc Supersport Junior TT race and the Lightweight TT and Ultra-Lightweight TT races held on the 4.25-mile (6.84 km) Billown Circuit in the Isle of Man. A new event for the 2009 Isle of Man TT races was the one-lap TTXGP for racing motorcycles "to be powered without the use of carbon based fuels and have zero toxic/noxious emissions."

The 2010 Isle of Man TT Festival was held between Saturday 29 May and Friday 11 June on the 37.73-mile Isle of Man TT Mountain Course. The 2010 races again included a second 600 cc Supersport Junior TT race. The Lightweight TT and Ultra-Lightweight TT race class previously held on the 4.25-mile (6.84 km) Billown Circuit in the Isle of Man for the 2008 Isle of Man TT and 2009 Isle of Man TT were dropped from the 2010 race schedule. The 2010 Isle of Man TT Races included the one-lap TT Zero for racing motorcycles "to be powered without the use of carbon based fuels and have zero toxic/noxious emissions." which replaced the TTXGP and also a Suzuki 50th Anniversary Lap of Honour and the TT Classic Parade which were held before the main Senior TT race.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Helmut Fath</span> German motorcycle racer

Helmut Fath was a German sidecar racer and engineer. He won the Sidecar World Championship in 1960 and 1968. His early racing was on BMW R50 sidecars with a chassis of his own design. After a bad accident in 1961, he took time off and returned with his own design URS four-cylinder machine to win the title in 1968. The URS engine was also used in solo competition as well as powering Horst Owesle/Peter Rutterford to the 1971 World Sidecar Championship.
