Todd Ellis (born 1994 [1] ) Is an English sidecar racer. He is two times Superside FIM World Sidecar Champion.

Sidecar World Championship

In 2020 Ellis and passenger Charlie 'Chaz' Richardson won the International Sidecar SuperPrix 2020, a competition organized by the German and British federations when the FIM World Sidecar Championship 2020 was canceled due to the restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. [2] [3] [4] [5]

In the 2021 Sidecar World Championship Ellis placed second with French passenger Emmanuelle Clément on their LCR-Yamaha machine behind Swiss duo Marcus Schlosser and Marcel Fries.

In 2022 [6] [7] [8] and 2023 [9] [10] [11] [12] Ellis and Clément won the Superside World Championship.

British F1 Sidecar Championship

Ellis is three times British Champion. He won the British F1-Sidecar Championship in 2019 with passenger Charlie Richardson and in 2022 and 2023 with Emmanuelle Clément. In 2018 and 2020 Ellis placed second with passenger Charlie Richardson.

Ellis is the fifth driver to become both British Champion and World Champion in the same season. Previously, Jock Taylor achieved this with his Swedish passenger Benga Johansson in 1980, and then Steve Webster in 1987, 1988 and 2004, Tim Reeves in 2007 and Ben Birchall in 2016. [13] [14]

John Norman Surtees, was a British Grand Prix motorcycle road racer and Formula One driver. On his way to become a seven-time Grand Prix motorcycle World Champion, he won his first title in 1956, and followed with three consecutive doubles between 1958 and 1960, winning six World Championships in both the 500 and 350cc classes. Surtees then made the move to the pinnacle of Motorsport, the Formula 1 World Championship, and in 1964 made motor racing history by becoming the F1 World Champion. To this day Surtees remains the only person to have won World Championships on both two and four wheels. He founded the Surtees Racing Organisation team that competed as a constructor in Formula One, Formula 2 and Formula 5000 from 1970 to 1978. He was also the ambassador of the Racing Steps Foundation.

The 2021 Santander Salt FIM Sidecar World Championship was the 72nd season of the Sidecar World Championship. The championship was won by Markus Schlosser and Marcel Fries of Switzerland. The season was contested across seven rounds, six rounds consisting of two races, and the final round in Estoril with three races.

Emmanuelle Clément is a french sidecar racer (passenger). She is a two times Superside FIM World Sidecar Champion and a two times British Champion.
