Markíza is a Slovakian television channel launched on August 31, 1996. The channel was founded by a later politician Pavol Rusko, and is now part of the Central European Media Enterprises (CME). It also operates television channels Doma, Dajto, Markíza International, Markíza KRIMI and Markíza Klasik . In 2020, CME was bought out by Peter Kellner's investment group PPF. PPF is therefore the new owner of tv Markíza.

Osobnosť televíznej obrazovky, more commonly abbreviated as OTO, was a Slovak awards show recognizing the public figures and the work of popular culture in the country. Established by Art Production Agency (APA) in 2000, the television poll-based awards were voted on by the general viewing audiences. The annual ceremonies of the accolades were screened live by the national television network RTVS, usually in March for the previous calendar year.
X Factor Česko a Slovensko is a Czech and Slovak reality television music competition created by Simon Cowell and produced by FremantleMedia, on TV Prima and TV JOJ. As part of The X Factor franchise, the series finds new singing talent, including solo artists and groups ages 12 and over, drawn from public auditions, and they compete against each other for votes. The winner is determined by Short Message Service voting of the show's audience and is awarded a recording contract worth €200.000.

Tanec snov is a Slovak reality television that premiered on March 8, 2015, on the television channel JOJ. The concept of the series presents nine local celebrities coupled with an equal number of dancers to "dance their dream" in common. Viliam Rozboril and Barbora Rakovská have been hosting the show since, while Eva Máziková, Ján Ďurovčík and Peter Modrovský, these were promoted as the judges for the series opening season. Apart from that, a guest judge will appear per episode too.
Tvoje tvář má známý hlas is a Czech reality singing series that is aired on Nova. It is both based on the Endemol format Your Face Sounds Familiar and an adaptation of the Spanish Tu cara me suena. The show was first broadcast on March 26, 2016, and is still aired. The show involves eight or ten celebrities portraying various iconic singers each week to win 25,000 CZK for their chosen charity.

Milan Zimnýkoval, known professionally as "Junior", is a Slovak television and radio presenter. He is the son of a soldier and his mother was a primary school teacher. For ten years he has danced in the Slovak folk dance group Zemplín. In June 2012 he married the television producer Antónia Gondová, who took on the married surname Zimnýkoval. They live together in Bratislava and raise their daughter Alexandra.
Zuzana Vačková is a Slovak actress best known for her role in the television series Panelák.
Emma Drobná is a Slovak singer and the winner of Česko Slovenská SuperStar 2015. She sings mainly in English, although some of her tracks are with Slovak lyrics. In 2016, Drobná took part in the TV series Tvoja tvár znie povedome, although she did not reach the final. In 2017 she competed alongside Filip Buránsky in the sixth series of Slovak TV series Let's Dance. Drobná signed a sponsorship deal with Coca-Cola in 2018.
Česko Slovenská SuperStar is the joint Czech-Slovak version of Idol series' Pop Idol merged from Česko hledá SuperStar and Slovensko hľadá SuperStar which previous to that had three individual seasons each. The sixth season premiered in winter 2020 with castings held in Prague and Bratislava. It is broadcast on two channels: «TV Nova» and «Markíza» (Slovakia) which have also been the broadcast stations for the individual seasons.
Barbora Piešová is a Slovak singer who won 6th season of the Czech&Slovak SuperStar, a local itineration of the Idol franchise singing competition. She finished third in the 2021 edition of the show Tvoja tvár znie povedome.
Mária Bartalos is a Slovak former actress. During the 2010s she played many roles on Slovak television series, including Linda Mackova in Markíza comedy-drama Oteckovia. Bartalos has appeared in Slovak and Czech films such as the 2018 dance film Backstage, in which she had a leading role.
Viktória Ráková Lakatos is a Slovak television and theatre actress. She is best known for starring in the TV Shows Panelák and Susedia.
Michal Kovačič (born 1983) is a Slovak journalist and talk show host.
Farma 16 is the sixteenth season of the Slovak reality television series Farma. This season goes back to the regular format of the show where 17 ordinary Slovaks live on a farm like it was a century ago and complete tasks for the farm mentor to try and win €100,000. The main twist this season is that four contestants from previous seasons are coming back, living close to the farm and have a secret mission that must not be revealed. The season premiered on 2 September 2024 on Markíza.
