The Centro Nacional de Inteligencia or CNI, is a Mexican intelligence agency controlled by the Secretariat of Security and Civilian Protection.
The Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units is an international organization that facilitates cooperation and intelligence sharing between national financial intelligence units (FIUs) to investigate and prevent money laundering and terrorist financing. National FIUs collect information on suspicious or unusual financial activity and are responsible for processing and analyzing the information received. FIUs are normally not law enforcement agencies themselves, findings are shared with appropriate law enforcement or prosecution bodies if sufficient evidence of unlawful activity is found. This position is analogous to the Secretary of the Treasury in the United States of America or to the finance ministers of other nations.

In Mexico, the Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV) is an independent agency of the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit (Mexico) (SHCP) body with technical autonomy and executive powers over the Mexican financial system. José Antonio González Anaya is a Mexican economist who served as the minister of finance and public credit of Mexico until November 30, 2018. Previously he served as CEO of PEMEX and general director at the Mexican Social Security Institute. Also at the Ministry of Finance in Mexico he was: Undersecretary of Revenue; Chief of Staff of the Minister and head of the Unit of Coordination with States; head of the Unit of Pensions, Insurance and Securities; and chief of staff of the undersecretary. He was a lecturer and senior researcher at Stanford University; senior economist for Bolivia, Paraguay, and Peru at the World Bank.
The Tax Administration Service is the revenue service of the Mexican federal government. The government agency is a deconcentrated bureau of the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit, Mexico's cabinet-level finance ministry, and is under the immediate direction of the Chief of the Tax Administration Service. The SAT is responsible for collecting taxes, as well as applying fiscal and customs law, with the purpose of funding public spending in a proportional and equitable manner. Additionally, it is the bureau's responsibility to generate and collect information necessary for the formation and evaluation of fiscal policy.
