The 2018 United States House of Representatives election in Montana was held on November 6, 2018, to elect the U.S. Representative from Montana's at-large congressional district. The election will coincide with other elections to the House of Representatives, elections to the United States Senate and various state and local elections.
The United States House of Representatives is the lower chamber of the United States Congress, the Senate being the upper chamber. Together they comprise the legislature of the United States.
Montana is represented in the United States House of Representatives by one at-large congressional district, among the 435 in the United States Congress. The district is the largest U.S. congressional district by population, with just over 1 million constituents. It is also the second-largest by land area, after Alaska's at-large congressional district.
The United States Senate is the upper chamber of the United States Congress, which along with the United States House of Representatives—the lower chamber—comprises the legislature of the United States. The Senate chamber is located in the north wing of the Capitol, in Washington, D.C.

Kathleen Williams is an American Democratic politician. She has served in the nonpartisan Environmental Quality Council of the Montana Legislature and the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks. In 2010, she was elected to the Montana House of Representatives and served three two-year terms before retiring. On June 5, 2018, Williams won the Democratic primary election for the 2018 election for Montana's at-large seat in the United States House of Representatives, unsuccessfully challenging incumbent Republican Greg Gianforte in the general election.
Lynda Moss is a Democratic former member of the Montana Senate. She represented District 26 from 2004 to 2012. She was a Majority Whip in the 2008-2010 session. She was ineligible to run for election in 2012 due to Montana's term limits.

Gianforte and his wife founded RightNow Technologies, a customer relationship management software company which went public in 2004, before being acquired by Oracle in 2011. Gianforte is one of the few tech executives to be elected to political office in the United States. Since Rep. Darrell Issa left office in 2019, Gianforte is currently the wealthiest member of Congress.
