Uscana or Hyscana was a settlement of the Illyrian tribe of the Penestae in southern Illyria. [1] It has been suggested that it is to be identified with Grazhdan Castle, near modern Peshkopi in northern Albania. [2]
In midwinter 170/169 BC, Perseus launched a successful raid on the Illyrian Penestae and captured their chief town Uscana.
