Vicki Hopper Wysocki is an American scientist. She is a professor and the current chair of the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Georgia Tech [1]
Vicki Wysocki received a BS in chemistry from Western Kentucky University in 1982. [2] She received a PhD in chemistry at Purdue University in 1987, under the supervision of R. Graham Cooks. [3] [4] She did post-doctoral work at Purdue University and at the US Naval Research Laboratory as a National Research Council Fellow. [5] [6]
Wysocki became an assistant professor at Virginia Commonwealth University in 1990, and an associate professor in 1994. In 1996, she continued her career at University of Arizona, and she was promoted to professor in 2000. She was the chair of the department of chemistry and biochemistry at University of Arizona. She is a professor and an Ohio Eminent Scholar at Ohio State University, and the director of the Campus Chemical Instrument Center. [6] [2]
She was the treasurer (1998–2000), vice president for programs (2014–2016), president (2016–2018) and past president (2018–2020) of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry. [7] [8] She served on the editorial board of Analyst, [9] and she served as an associate editor of Analytical Chemistry. [10] She serves as the editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry , [11] she serves on the Honorary Board of International Journal of Mass Spectrometry . [12]
Robert Graham Cooks is the Henry Bohn Hass Distinguished Professor of Chemistry in the Aston Laboratories for Mass Spectrometry at Purdue University. He is an ISI Highly Cited Chemist, with over 1,000 publications and an H-index of 150.
Fred Warren McLafferty was an American chemist known for his work in mass spectrometry. He is best known for the McLafferty rearrangement reaction that was observed with mass spectrometry. With Roland Gohlke, he pioneered the technique of gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. He is also known for electron-capture dissociation, a method of fragmenting gas-phase ions.
David E. Clemmer is an analytical chemist and the Distinguished Professor and Robert and Marjorie Mann Chair of Chemistry at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, where he leads the Clemmer Group. Clemmer develops new scientific instruments for ion mobility mass spectrometry (IMS/MS), including the first instrument for nested ion-mobility time-of-flight mass spectrometry. He has received a number of awards, including the Biemann Medal in 2006 "for his pioneering contributions to the integration of ion mobility separations with a variety of mass spectrometry technologies."

Catherine Clarke Fenselau is an American scientist who was the first trained mass spectrometrist on the faculty of an American medical school; she joined Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 1968. She has been recognized as an outstanding scientist in the field of bioanalytical chemistry because of her work using mass spectrometry to study biomolecules.
Jennifer S. Brodbelt is an American chemist known for her research using mass spectrometry to characterize organic compounds, especially biopolymers and proteins.
John Michael Ramsey is an American analytical chemist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He currently holds the position of Minnie N. Goldby Distinguished Professor of Chemistry. His current research with the university focuses on microscale and nanoscale devices such as microchip electrospray, microscale Ion trap mass spectrometers, and microfluidic point of care devices. Kimberly A. Prather is an American atmospheric chemist. She is a distinguished chair in atmospheric chemistry and a distinguished professor at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and department of chemistry and biochemistry at UC San Diego. Her work focuses on how humans are influencing the atmosphere and climate. In 2019, she was elected a member of the National Academy of Engineering for technologies that transformed understanding of aerosols and their impacts on air quality, climate, and human health. In 2020, she was elected as a member of the National Academy of Sciences. She is also an elected Fellow of the American Philosophical Society, American Geophysical Union, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, American Philosophical Society, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Abraham Badu-Tawiah is a Ghanaian scientist who is a Professor of Chemistry at the Ohio State University. His research considers the development of mass spectrometry for the detection of disease. In 2017 he was awarded the American Chemical Society Arthur F. Findeis prize and in 2020 a Sloan Research Fellowship.
Ying Ge is a Chinese-American chemist who is a Professor of Cell and Regenerative Biology at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Her research considers the molecular mechanisms that underpin cardiac disease. She has previously served on the board of directors of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry.
