Vishnu Deo Sai (born 21 February 1964) is an Indian politician, who is the 4th and current Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and first unopposed tribal leader to hold the post. [1] [2] He also served as State President of Bharatiya Janata Party for Chhattisgarh from 2020 until 2022. [3] He was Union Minister of State for Steel, Labour & Employment in First Modi ministry. He was a member of the 16th Lok Sabha representing the Kunkuri constituency of Chhattisgarh.

Early life

On 21 February 1964, Vishnu Deo Sai was born to a farmer's family in Bagia village of Jashpur district in the state of Chhattisgarh. He did his higher secondary schooling in Loyola Higher Secondary School at Kunkuri, Jashpur.

Sai was born to Ram Prasad Sai and Jashmani Devi on 21 February 1964. He married Kaushalya Devi in 1991.

Political career

Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh

In a BJP meeting, it was announced that Vishnu Deo Sai will become the next Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh along with Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma as deputy. He took his oath on 13 December 2023.

Manoj Singh Mandavi was an Indian politician and a member of the 4th Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, elected from the Bhanupratappur constituency in the 2018 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election. He was a member of the Indian National Congress.

The Vishnudeo Sai ministry represents the formation of the sixth cabinet of the Indian state Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Vishnudeo Sai, who is elected as the fourth Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led by Vishnudeo Sai, secured an absolute majority in the 2023 Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly election, winning 54 out of the 90 seats in the state assembly.
