Anant Gangaram Geete (born 2 June 1951) is an Indian politician and was the Union Cabinet Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Sector Enterprises during 2014 - 2019 in Narendra Modi cabinet. He is also a former Union Cabinet Minister for Power (Aug 2002 to May 2004). He is a member of the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) political party in Maharashtra,India. [1]
He was elected six times to the Lok Sabha. In the 2009 general election,he defeated the then sitting MP and former Cabinet Minister A.R.Antulay,by a margin of 145,000 votes to win from the Raigad,Maharashtra. In the 2014 general election,he held his seat in Raigad by a margin of 2,110 votes over nearest rival,Sunil Tatkare who was then the Minister for Water Resources in Maharashtra but lost it in 2019 by a margin of 31,740 votes. He has earlier represented the Ratnagiri constituency in Maharashtra for four terms from 11th Lok Sabha to 14th Lok Sabha.

Sharadchandra Govindrao Pawar is an Indian politician. He has served as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for four terms and has also served in the Union Council of Ministers as the Minister of Defence in the Cabinet of P.V. Narsimha Rao and as Minister of Agriculture in the Cabinet of Manmohan Singh. He is the first and former president of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP),"which he founded in 1999,after separating from the Indian National Congress". His faction of the NCP was split by his nephew,Ajit Pawar. He leads his faction of the NCP in the Rajya Sabha,the upper chamber of the Indian parliament. He is the chairperson of Maha Vikas Aghadi,a regional Maharashtra-based political alliance.
The Nationalist Congress Party is one of the state parties in India. It refers to the Ajit Pawar faction after the 2023 split in the party when the Supreme Court of India granted the original party name and symbol to the Nationalist Congress Party. It was one of the major political parties in Maharashtra and was a recognised state party in Nagaland and Kerala. In July 2023,majority of the elected MLAs and MLCs of the party led by Ajit Pawar joined the National Democratic Alliance government,however,all MPs except two remained loyal to Sharad Pawar. This caused a direct split between the Ajit Pawar-led faction and the founder and president Sharad Pawar who formed the Nationalist Congress Party after EC recognised the Ajit Pawar faction as the original party. Under the leadership of Ajit Pawar,the NCP revamped itself and adopted the color pink to associate with the party.

Abdul Rahman Antulay was an Indian politician. Antulay was a union minister for Minority Affairs and a Member of Parliament in the 14th Lok Sabha of India. Earlier he had been the Chief Minister of the state of Maharashtra,but was forced to resign after being convicted by the Bombay High Court on charges that he had extorted money for a trust fund he managed. Later,the Supreme Court of India gave him clean chit in that case.
Raigad is one of the 48 Lok Sabha constituencies of Maharashtra state in western India. It is a new constituency,created in 2008 as a part of the implementation of the delimitation of the parliamentary constituencies based on the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India constituted on 12 July 2002. The constituency first held elections in 2009 and its first member of parliament was Anant Geete of Shiv Sena who was also re-elected in the 2014 elections. In the 2019 General Elections Sunil Tatkare of NCP won the seat by margin of 31,438 votes defeating the incumbent Geetee who was also a Union Cabinet minister.
Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav is an Indian politician serving as the minister of AYUSH since 2024. Family members have also led the Congress party for most of the period since 1978 when Indira Gandhi floated the then Congress(I) faction of the party. It also is fairly common in many political parties in Maharashtra. The dynastic phenomenon is seen from national level down to district level and even village level.The three-tier structure of Panchayati Raj established in the 1960s also helped to create and consolidate the dynastic phenomenon in rural areas. Apart from government,political families also control cooperative institutions,mainly cooperative sugar factories,district cooperative banks in the state,and since the 1980s private for profit colleges. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party also features several senior leaders who are dynasts. In Maharashtra,the NCP has particularly high level of dynasticism.
Vinayak Raut is an Indian politician &former serving as the Member of Parliament,Loksabha. He is leader of Shiv Sena in Lok Sabha representing Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg constituency in the 17th Lok Sabha. Originally from Mumbai,Raut was previously elected as a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from Vile Parle of Mumbai for 1999-2004 as a Shiv Sena candidate. He was also elected as a member of Maharashtra Legislative Council from Shiv Sena Party in 2012. He resigned on 27 May 2014 from the Maharashtra Legislative Council. The Maha Vikas Aghadi,is a state-level political alliance of centre to centre-left political parties in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is one of the two major political alliances in Maharashtra. The alliance was formed under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray of SHS (UBT),Sharad Pawar of the NCP(SP) and Sonia Gandhi of the INC,along with the support from the Samajwadi Party,PWPI,CPI(M) and several other political parties including Independent MLAs. MVA is currently the official opposition in Maharashtra Legislature. Most of the MVA constituents are members of the Indian National Congress-led Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance at pan-India level.
