Wankarani (Aymara wankara a kind of drum, [2] -ni a suffix to indicate ownership, "the one with a wankara", hispanicized spelling Huancarani) is a mountain in the Andes of Bolivia, about 4,980 metres (16,339 ft) high. It lies in the Oruro Department, Sajama Province, in the north of the Turco Municipality. Wankarani is situated south-west of the Kimsa Chata group, north-east of the mountain Yaritani and south-east of the mountains Ch'iyar Jaqhi and Surani. [1] [3]

Aymara language native language in South America

Aymara is an Aymaran language spoken by the Aymara people of the Andes. It is one of only a handful of Native American languages with over one million speakers. Aymara, along with Spanish, is one of the official languages of Bolivia and parts of Peru. It is also spoken, to a much lesser extent, by some communities in northern Chile, where it is a recognized minority language.

Ch'utu Wankarani lies northeast of Imill Wawani and Apachita and southeast of Jisk'a Sallalla and Wisk'achani. The Wila Jaqhi Jawira originates near Ch'utu Wankarani. It flows to the northeast.

Jach'a Wankarani is a mountain in the Chilla-Kimsa Chata mountain range in the Andes of Bolivia, about 4,040 metres (13,255 ft) high. It is located in the La Paz Department, Los Andes Province, Laja Municipality, near Saqaqani (Sacacani). Jach'a Wankarani lies north-east of the mountain Phujtir Pata Punta. It is situated next to the mountain Wankarani.

Qhapaqa is a 5,056-metre-high (16,588 ft) mountain in the Andes of Bolivia. It lies in the Oruro Department, Sajama Province, in the north of the Turco Municipality. Qhapaqa is situated south of Yaritani and northeast of Chuqil Qamiri.

South of it there is a lake named Q'asiri Quta. A little river named Q'asiri Jawira originates here. It flows to Ch'uch'u Jawira in the south.
