The Waynesboro Historical Society, Incorporated is an historical society founded in 1963 and based in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. The Society's headquarters are housed in the Oller House. The society works for the preservation of landmarks and structures in the Waynesboro area and holds regular meetings, open to the public, which feature speakers on topics of local interest.
J.J. and Myrtle (Funk) Oller eldest child, Rello Oller (1895-1992), never married and in 1990 she leased the house to the Society for U.S. $1.00 a year with the understanding that on her death the property would inure to the Society. She had two younger brothers, both of whom married but had no children.
The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. [1]

In addition to the Society's quarterly newsletter, the Society has published two volumes of a cookbook Culinary Traditions: A Taste of Waynesboro and has back issues of Antietam Ancestors a former journal published by the Society.

Chetham's Library in Manchester, England, is the oldest free public reference library in the English-speaking world. Chetham's Hospital, which contains both the library and Chetham's School of Music, was established in 1653 under the will of Humphrey Chetham (1580–1653), for the education of "the sons of honest, industrious and painful parents", and a library for the use of scholars. The library has been in continuous use since 1653. It operates as an independent charity, open to readers free of charge, Monday-Friday 09.00-12.30 and 13.30-16.30 by prior appointment. Tours of the Library for visitors are bookable online from 2 September 2019 via the Library website.
The Bancroft Library in the center of the campus of the University of California, Berkeley, is the university's primary special-collections library. It was acquired from its founder, Hubert Howe Bancroft, in 1905, with the proviso that it retain the name Bancroft Library in perpetuity. The Avery Architectural and Fine Arts Library is a library located in Avery Hall on the Morningside Heights campus of Columbia University in the New York City. It is the largest architecture library in the world. The State Historical Society of Missouri, a private membership and state funded organization, is a comprehensive research facility located in Columbia, Missouri, specializing in the preservation and study of Missouri's cultural heritage. Established in 1898 by the Missouri Press Association and made a trustee of the state in 1901, the Society is the official historical society of the state of Missouri and is located on the campus of the University of Missouri in Downtown Columbia, Missouri. The Congregational Library & Archives is an independent special collections library and archives. It is located on the second floor of the Congregational House at 14 Beacon Street in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The Library was founded in 1853 by a gathering of Congregational ministers and has since evolved into a professional library and archives that holds more than 250,000 items, predominantly focused on 18th to 21st century American Congregational history. The Library's reading room is free and open to the public for research but the Library's stacks are closed and book borrowing privileges are extended exclusively to members.

Manuscripts and Special Collections is part of Libraries, Research and Learning Resources at the University of Nottingham. It is based at King's Meadow Campus in Nottingham in England. The University has been collecting manuscripts since the early 1930s and now holds approximately 3 million documents, extensive holdings of Special Collections, and the East Midlands Collection of local material, all of which are available for researchers to use in the supervised Wolfson Reading Rooms.

Harbaugh's Reformed Church, now non-denominational and known as Harbaugh Church, is a historic Reformed church at 14301 and 14269 Harbaugh Church Road in Washington Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania. If is one of five properties owned by The Waynesboro Historical Society and is available for weddings, funerals and special events. It was built in 1892, and is a 1 1/2-story, three bay by five bay, brick Late Gothic Revival style building. It features a steep, slate covered gable roof, brick buttresses, and lancet stained glass windows. The building replaced an earlier church built in 1846 by George Harbaugh on farmland he owned. The property includes the church cemetery, established about 1845. Regular services were held in the current building until 1966. It was acquired by the historical society in 1983.

Joseph J. Oller House is a historic home located at Waynesboro in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1891–1892, and is a 2 1/-2-story, 17 room brick dwelling in the Queen Anne-style. A two-story addition was built in 1910. The house features a multi-gabled slate roof and a projecting round bay topped by a tower and conical roof. Also on the property is a one-story, wood-frame carriage house and two-story, wood-frame stable. The property is headquarters of the Waynesboro Historical Society.
