.mt is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Malta.
Since 1 December 2017, it is possible to register .mt domains directly at the second level, such as myname.mt. [1] Registration is possible at the third level under a number of second level domain names. [2]

Registration was limited to residents and registered companies in the Cayman Islands with a local address, but this restriction was removed in September 2015. The Cayman Islands also has the international three-letter code CYM and has won a bid to be awarded the .cym domain in a future expansion of the top-level domain space.

Historically and due to poor Internet Infrastructure, most top-level domains in Africa were and some are still being technically managed by foreign experts. Through a consultative process, Tanzania Network information Centre (tzNIC), a not-for-profit company was established and registered to administer and manage the operations of the Tanzania country code top-level domain. tzNIC is a limited company with two founding members – the Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority and the Tanzania Internet Service Provider Association.
.ss is the designated country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for South Sudan in the Domain Name System of the Internet. It is derived from the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 code for South Sudan, which is SS. According to CIO East Africa, the TLD was allocated on 10 August 2011 following the country's declaration of independence from Sudan. The TLD was registered on 31 August 2011, but not added to the DNS root zone and was thus not operational. It was approved at the ICANN Board meeting on 27 January 2019 and was added to the DNS root zone on 2 February 2019.
