Viva Films' Muling Umawit ang Puso romped away with eleven awards including the Best Picture, Best Actress for multi-awarded Nora Aunor, Best Director for Joel Lamangan, and the Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Awards among others. In addition, first-time awardee Richard Gomez went home with the Best Actor Award for the movie Dahas. [1]

The 1st Metro Manila Film Festival, also known then as the 1975 Metropolitan Film Festival, was held on September 21, 1975, in Manila to commemorate the third anniversary of the continuation of Martial Law.

The 4th Metro Manila Film Festival had its run in 1978 starting from December 25 onwards. There were nine official entries and Atsay was hailed as the Festival's Best Film.

The 5th Metro Manila Film Festival was held in 1979.

The 6th Metro Manila Film Festival was held in 1980.

The 8th Metro Manila Film Festival was held in 1982.

The 9th Metro Manila Film Festival was held in 1983. Only eight movies participated.

The 10th Metro Manila Film Festival was held in 1984.

Muling Umawit ang Puso is a 1995 Philippine drama film directed by Joel Lamangan. The film stars Nora Aunor, Donna Cruz and Ian de Leon. It was one of the entries in the 1995 Metro Manila Film Festival, where it won the most awards including Best Picture.

Raoul Aragon was a former Filipino actor in drama and action movies in the Philippines. Aragon was nominated in Gawad Urian Award 1980 as Best Actor in the movie Ina ka ng Anak Mo and he won the Best Actor award in Metro Manila Film Festival 1979 in the same movie. He was also known as Raul Aragon, Raoul Aragonn.
