Vilma Santos, Christopher de Leon and their movie, Mano Po III: My Love topped the 2004 Metro Manila Film Festival. Santos and de Leon won the Best Actress and Best Actor awards respectively for their roles in Mano Po III: My Love , which was also awarded the Festival's Best Picture. The Best Supporting Actor and Actress awards went to Dennis Trillo for Aishite Imasu 1941: Mahal Kita and Rebecca Lusterio for Panaghoy sa Suba .

Cesar Montano's Panaghoy sa Suba also received six other awards including the prestigious Gatpuno Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Awards, Best Director for Montano, and the Second Best Picture among others. [1]

Panaghoy sa Suba is an historical romance drama about a love triangle which takes place during the Second World War. Its themes concern Filipino nationalism and the legacies of colonialism.

Mano Po 6: A Mother's Love is a 2009 Filipino drama film and the sixth installment of the Mano Po franchise, following Mano Po 5: Gua Ai Di in 2006. Mano Po is a Filipino drama anthology film series produced by Regal Entertainment, and is one of the most successful film series produced in the history of Philippine cinema, and the second longest-running Filipino film series, the first being Shake, Rattle & Roll which had a total of 16 films with three episodes each. The series has seven productions and also includes Ako Legal Wife and Bahay Kubo: A Pinoy Mano Po!. All episodes are directed by Joel Lamangan, with the exception of Mano Po 2: My Home (2003) which was helmed by Erik Matti, and Mano Po 7: Chinoy (2016) which was helmed by Ian Loreños. The series focuses on the ways and traditions of the Chinese Filipino community.

<i>Mano Po 7: Chinoy</i> 2016 Filipino drama film

Mano Po 7: Chinoy is a 2016 Filipino drama film directed by Ian Loreños, and the seventh installment of the Mano Po film series. The film starring Richard Yap, Jean Garcia and Enchong Dee. The film was produced by Regal Entertainment. It tells the story of a modern Chinese Filipino family. Beneath the facade of a typical well-off Chinese Filipino family, it also tackles the struggles of family life as well as how they managed to reunite themselves as one. The film was shown in theatres starting December 14, 2016, but was delayed due to insistent public demand that the film was re-run in theatres starting February 8, 2017. The film starred Richard Yap, making him the first male main protagonist in the Mano Po film series. It was also the second Mano Po film that was not directed by Joel Lamangan who directed Mano Po, Mano Po III: My Love, Mano Po 4: Ako Legal Wife, Mano Po 5: Gua Ai Di and Mano Po 6: A Mother's Love.

When I Met You In Tokyo is a 2023 Philippine romance film written by Suzette Doctolero and directed by Rado Peru and Rommel Penesa. It stars Vilma Santos and Christopher de Leon, both of whom were teamed up in several blockbuster films such as Tag-ulan sa Tag-Araw (1975), Sinasamba Kita (1982), Minsan Pa Nating Hagkan ang Nakaraan (1983), Imortal (1989), Dekada '70 (2002), and Mano Po III: My Love (2004).
