The European Wheelchair Basketball Championship, is the main wheelchair basketball competition contested biennially by national teams governed by IWBF Europe, the European zone within the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation. The World Baseball Softball Confederation Europe, known as WBSC Europe, was established on February 10, 2018, during a Congress of the Confederation of European Baseball and the European Softball Federation in Val d’Europe, France. the establishment of WBSC Europe followed the historic merger of the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB) and the European Softball Federation (ESF). As of September 2022, WBSC Europe counts 40 members for baseball and 39 for softball.

Fenerbahçe Men's Volleyball, commonly known as Fenerbahçe, are the men's volleyball department of Fenerbahçe SK, a major Turkish multi-sport club based in Istanbul, Turkey. Founded in 1927, they are one of the most successful volleyball teams in Turkey, having won five Turkish Volleyball League titles, four Turkish Cups, and four Turkish Super Cups, among others. In Europe Fenerbahçe have won two Balkan Cups and the CEV Challenge Cup in the 2013–14 season, thus writing volleyball history as the women's team won another continental title, the CEV Cup, the very same day. By achieving this unparalleled feat, Fenerbahçe became the first and only sports club in Turkey and one of a few in Europe with European titles won in both the men's and women's volleyball departments.
Tijana Bošković is a Serbian professional volleyball player who plays as an opposite spiker for Turkish Women's Volleyball League club Eczacıbaşı Dynavit and the Serbia women's national volleyball team. She has won gold medals with the national team at the 2018 and 2022 World Championships, and the 2017 and 2019 European Championships. She is also a two-time Olympic medalist, having won silver at the 2016 Rio Games and bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
The 5000 metres race walk is a racewalking event. The event is competed as a track race and was part of the athletics programme for men at the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Athletics until 1993. It is also an event in the World Masters Athletics Championships, and is a World record event.
