The 2008 Nagoya Grampus season was Nagoya Grampus' 15th season in the J. League Division 1 and 26th overall in the Japanese top flight. They also participated in the 2007 J. League Cup, being knocked out at the Group Stage, and the 2008 Emperor's Cup, where they reached the Fifth Round before defeat to Honda F.C.

It was Dragan Stojković last season as manager, as he left at the end of the season, and they finsed 11th in the J League, reached the group stage of the J. League Cup and were knocked out of the Emperor's Cup at the second round stage by Nagano Parceiro.

It is Akira Nishino's first season as manager after replacing Dragan Stojković in the off-season. They finished the season in 10th place, reaching the Quarter Finals of the Emperor's Cup whilst failing to progress from the group stages of the J.League Cup.

The club finished the 2014 J.League Division 1 in third place, two places above their position from the previous season. They also competed in the Emperor's Cup where they were surprisingly knocked out in the second round by JFL club Sony Sendai FC and the J.League Cup where they did not make it past the group stage.
