The 2022 Monaco FIA Formula 2 round was a motor racing event held between 27 and 29 May 2022 at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo, Monaco. It was the fifth round of the 2022 FIA Formula 2 Championship, and was held in support of the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix.
Liam Lawson originally finished first in qualifying, [1] but was later stripped of pole position and given a five-place grid-penalty in the Sprint Race due to failing to slow under yellow flags. Felipe Drugovich therefore inherited the pole position, his second of the season. [2]

Richard Bastiaan Verschoor is a Dutch racing driver currently competing for Van Amersfoort Racing in the Formula 2 Championship. Verschoor graduated to Formula 2 in 2021 with MP Motorsport before switching to Charouz Racing System, and moved to Trident for 2022 after two years in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with MP Motorsport.
Marcus John Armstrong is a New Zealand motor racing driver. He is due to compete in the NTT IndyCar Series on road and street courses with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2023. Previously he competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship between 2020 and 2022. He was a member of the Ferrari Driver Academy between 2017 and 2021.
Jehan Daruvala is an Indian racing driver currently driving for MP Motorsport in Formula 2 and acting as reserve driver for the Mahindra Racing Formula E team. He was a protégé of the Force India F1 team, after being one of three winners of a 'One in a Billion hunt' organized by the team in 2011. He is also a former member of the Red Bull Junior Team.
Felipe Drugovich Roncato is a Brazilian-Italian racing driver who last competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with MP Motorsport. He is the 2018 Euroformula Open champion and the 2022 Formula 2 champion, as well as the current test and reserve driver for Aston Martin and McLaren in Formula 1.
Liam Lawson is a New Zealand motor racing driver who currently competes in the 2023 Super Formula Championship with Team Mugen. Lawson, who is mentored by three-time New Zealand Grand Prix winner Ken Smith, previously competed for the Carlin team in the FIA Formula 2 Championship. He is a previous Toyota Racing Series champion and member of the Red Bull Junior Team, In 2021, he also raced for the Red Bull AF Corse team in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, partnering Alex Albon, narrowly missing out on the championship in the last round.
Dennis Hauger is a Norwegian racing driver currently competing in the 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship with MP Motorsport. He is a member of the Red Bull Junior Team and the 2021 FIA Formula 3 champion. He also won the 2019 Italian F4 Championship with Van Amersfoort Racing.
Théo Jérôme Julien Pourchaire is a French racing driver currently competing in the 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship for the ART Grand Prix team and the reigning Formula 2 vice-champion. He is currently a member of the Sauber Academy and serves as a test and reserve driver for Alfa Romeo Racing.
The 2021 FIA Formula 2 Championship was a motor racing championship for Formula 2 cars that was sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA).
