The 2024 Nepal Premier League (NPL), also known as Siddhartha Bank NPL 2024 for sponsorship reasons, [1] [2] was the inaugural season of the Nepal Premier League, a men's Twenty20 cricket league in Nepal. [3] [4] The tournament featured 8 teams competing in 32 matches from 30 November to 21 December 2024 (15 Mangsir to 6 Poush 2081 BS). [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]
The auctions for team ownership was held on September 5, 2024. Pokhara was the most expensive team, costing over NPR 3,57,00,000. [10] For the inaugural NPL season, each team had a salary cap of रू 90 lakh (US$66,000) for domestic auction. Eight Marquee players were listed form draw on 14 September 2024. [11] [12] Sandeep Lamichhane, Kushal Malla, Aasif Sheikh, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Rohit Paudel, Kushal Bhurtel and Dipendra Singh Airee were classified as Marquee players.

National League Cricket was an annual cricket tournament held in Nepal. It was administered by the Cricket Association of Nepal.
Everest Premier League (EPL) was a franchise Twenty20 cricket tournament organized by EPL Pvt. Ltd., a private group in Nepal. It was the biggest cricket tournament in the country, played during the northern winter calendar, mostly in the month of December. It was played in round-robin format in which top four teams qualify for the playoffs. The tournament was renowned for having high attendance among the domestic cricket of the ICC associate nations. The first edition of the tournament was held in September 2016 with six franchises consisting of domestic and international players. Chitwan Tigers are the defending champions after winning the 2021 season. From 2024 Nepal Premier League replaces the league.
The 2016 Everest Premier League was the debut season of the Everest Premier League. It was supposed to be the second edition of the Nepal Premier League, abbreviated as NPL, and was scheduled to be held from 26 March to 4 April 2015 in Kirtipur. but Cricket Association of Nepal insisted that it will not support the tournament unless its name is changed. Later, the board decided to uphold the tournament as the name was changed to Everest Premier League and provided the ground for competition. The tournament began on 24 September and ended on 3 October 2016.
The 2017 season of Dhangadhi Premier League was the debut season of the Dhangadhi Premier League. The tournament featured six teams. The season began on 9 April 2017 with the final match being held on 22 April 2017.

Lalitpur Patriots were the defending champions, having won their first title in 2018, but were eliminated in the group stage after finishing fifth.
The 2021 Nepal Super League was the first season of the Nepal Super League, the first professional franchise based club football league of Nepal. Seven franchises participated in the tournament played at the Dasharath Rangasala from 24 April to 15 May 2021. Kathmandu Rayzrs won the title after beating Dhangadhi FC in the final on 15 May 2021.
