6709 Hiromiyuki, provisional designation 1989 CD, is a background or Florian asteroid from the inner regions of the asteroid belt, approximately 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) in diameter. It was discovered on 2 February 1989, by Japanese amateur astronomers Masaru Arai and Hiroshi Mori at the Yorii Observatory in Japan. [1] The possibly elongated S-type asteroid has a rotation period of 6.8 hours. [5] It was named after the Hiroshi Mori's children, Hiroyuki and Miyuki. [1]
Hiromiyuki is a non-family asteroid of the main belt's background population when applying the hierarchical clustering method to its proper orbital elements. [3] [4] Based on osculating Keplerian orbital elements, the asteroid has also been classified as a member of the Flora family ( 402 ), a giant asteroid family and the largest family of stony asteroids in the main-belt. [5]
Hiromiyuki orbits the Sun in the inner asteroid belt at a distance of 2.0–2.7 AU once every 3 years and 7 months (1,315 days; semi-major axis of 2.35 AU). Its orbit has an eccentricity of 0.16 and an inclination of 2° with respect to the ecliptic. [2] The body's observation arc begins with its first observation as 1955 SX at Goethe Link Observatory in September 1955, more than 33 years prior to its official discovery observation at Yorii. [1]
Hiromiyuki is an assumed S-type asteroid based on its classification into the Flora family. [5]
In February 2007, a rotational lightcurve of Hiromiyuki was obtained from photometric observations by Donald P. Pray at Carbuncle Hill Observatory ( 912 ), in collaboration with Adrián Galád, Marek Husárik, and Julian Oey. Lightcurve analysis gave a rotation period of 6.828 hours with an exceptionally high brightness amplitude of 1.00±0.02 magnitude ( U=3 ), which typically indicates that the body has an elongated shape. [5] [7]
According to the survey carried out by the NEOWISE mission of NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, Hiromiyuki measures 3.98 kilometers in diameter and its surface has a high albedo of 0.34. [6] The Collaborative Asteroid Lightcurve Link assumes an albedo of 0.24 – derived from 8 Flora, the parent body of the Flora family – and calculates a diameter of 4.50 kilometers based on an absolute magnitude of 13.9. [5]
This minor planet was named after Hiroyuki (born 1991) and Miyuki Mori (born 1993), son and daughter of the second co-discoverer Hiroshi Mori. [1] The official naming citation was published by the Minor Planet Center on 6 March 2004 ( M.P.C. 51186). [8]

It was named after Russian admiral Grigory Butakov.

1244 Deira is a dark background asteroid and slow rotator from the inner region of the asteroid belt. The X-type asteroid has an exceptionally long rotation period of 210.6 hours and measures approximately 31 kilometers in diameter. It was discovered on 25 May 1932, by English-born South African astronomer Cyril Jackson at the Union Observatory in Johannesburg, who named it after Deira, an old kingdom near his birthplace, the market town of Ossett, located in West Yorkshire, England.
1806 Derice, provisional designation 1971 LC, is a stony Flora asteroid from the inner regions of the asteroid belt, approximately 10 kilometers in diameter. Discovered on 13 June 1971, at the Bickley site of the Perth Observatory in Western Australia, it was the first discovery of a minor planet ever made in Oceania. The asteroid was named after the wife of Dennis Harwood, staff member at Bickley.

It was discovered on 5 December 1988, by Japanese amateur astronomers Masaru Arai and Hiroshi Mori at Yorii Observatory in central Japan. It was named for Mount Fuji, Japan.

3854 George, provisional designation: 1983 EA, is a stony Hungaria asteroid and Mars-crosser from the innermost regions of the asteroid belt, approximately 3.5 kilometers in diameter. It was discovered on 13 March 1983, by American astronomer couple Carolyn and Eugene Shoemaker at the Palomar Observatory in California. The unlikely synchronous binary system has a rotation period of 3.3 hours. It was named after the discoverer's father-in-law, George Shoemaker.
2874 Jim Young, provisional designation 1982 TH, is a stony Florian asteroid and slow rotator from the inner regions of the asteroid belt, approximately 7.5 kilometers in diameter. It was discovered on 13 October 1982, by American astronomer Edward Bowell at Lowell Observatory's Anderson Mesa Station near Flagstaff, Arizona. The asteroid was named after American astronomer James Young.
5481 Kiuchi, provisional designation 1990 CH, is a bright binary Vestian asteroid from the inner regions of the asteroid belt, approximately 4 kilometers in diameter. It was discovered on 15 February 1990, by Japanese astronomers Kin Endate and Kazuro Watanabe at Kitami Observatory in Hokkaidō, Japan, and named after their colleague Tsuruhiko Kiuchi. The V-type asteroid has a rotation period of 3.6 hours.

It was discovered on 18 March 1939, by Finnish astronomer Yrjö Väisälä at Turku Observatory in Southwest Finland, and named after Finnish academician Tauno Nurmela. The possibly elongated asteroid has a rotation period of 3.15 hours.
6244 Okamoto, provisional designation 1990 QF, is a background asteroid and binary system from the inner regions of the asteroid belt, approximately 5 kilometers in diameter. It was discovered on 20 August 1990, by Japanese astronomer Tsutomu Seki at the Geisei Observatory in Kōchi, Japan, and later named after Japanese school teacher Hiroshi Okamoto. The presumed S-type asteroid has a short rotation period of 2.9 hours. The discovery of its minor-planet moon was announced in October 2006.
