Venice Film Festival chronology

The 75th Venice International Film Festival was held from 29 August to 8 September 2018, at Venice Lido in Italy.

Contents

Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro was the jury president for the main competition. [1] [2] Italian actor Michele Riondino hosted the opening and closing nights of the festival. [3] The Golden Lion was awarded to Roma by Alfonso Cuarón. [4]

The festival poster was made by Italian artist Lorenzo Mattotti, who designed it in the way "that attracts the eye, that attracts thought, but without revealing too much." [5]

The festival opened with First Man by Damien Chazelle, [6] and closed with Driven by Nick Hamm.
