Aspen Woods is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, consisting mostly of acreages and single-family detached homes.

Aspen Woods was established as a neighbourhood in 2001, on land annexed to the City of Calgary in 1956. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 6 councillor. [1]

Demographics

In the City of Calgary's 2012 municipal census, Aspen Woods had a population of 5,271 living in 2,281 dwellings, a 17.9% increase from its 2011 population of 4,469. [2] With a land area of 3.8 km2 (1.5 sq mi), it had a population density of

Residents in this community had a median household income of $89,939 in 2000, and there were no low income residents living in the neighbourhood. [4] As of 2000, 11.5% of the residents were immigrants. 12.5% of the housing was used for renting. [5]

Meadowlark Park is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located immediately west from the Chinook Centre, east of Elbow Drive and north of the Glenmore Trail. It is named for the Meadowlark, a prominent songbird of western North America.
