Cornerstone is a residential neighbourhood in the northeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. [2] Located near the north edge of the city, it is bounded by the Skyview Ranch and Redstone communities to the west, Stoney Trail NE to the north, Calgary, Cityscape Community to the south, and Cornerstone Close Northeast Road to the east. Cornerstone is located within Calgary City Council's Ward 5. [5]

In 2018, Walton Development and Management partnered with Anthem United to manage the development. The day-to-day duties were formally transferred as of March 28, 2018. [6]

Demographics

As of the 2021 Calgary municipal census, Cornerstone had a population of 6,190, and 1,795 dwellings.

Residents in Cornerstone had a median household income of $99,000, and 6% of residents living in Cornerstone were low-income. As of 2021, 61% of residents were immigrants, 20% of housing were condominiums or apartments, and 17% of housing was used for renting. 34% of residents in Cornerstone spent 30%+ of their income on housing, compared to the Calgary average of 23%. Beltline is a region of central Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The area is located immediately to the south of Calgary's downtown, and is sometimes considered part of downtown. Parkdale is in close proximity to both the Foothills Medical Centre and the Alberta Children's Hospital constructed in 2006, as well as the University of Calgary. Memorial Drive provides access to downtown Calgary and to Highway 1 which leads to the Rocky Mountains. Parkdale was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1910 when Calgary began to experience a "major economic and building boom." The boom ended in 1913 and further development of the Parkdale Addition as it was called, was halted because of World War I. Following World War II in the 1950s the dominant housing type that characterized Parkdale, was the bungalow. By 2014 Parkdale, like other inner city communities in Calgary, was experiencing gradual gentrification with small cottage-style bungalows being replaced by spacious flat roofed, Prairie School Frank Lloyd Wright inspired infills attracting young families with children away from the long commute suburbs to inner city ease of access to downtown, transit and work.

Fox Hollow Golf Course and The Winston Golf Club are developed at the eastern edge of the neighbourhood.

Country Hills is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded to the north by the Country Hills Boulevard, to the south by Beddington Trail, and to the east by Harvest Hills Boulevard. To the southwest, it is bordered by the Country Hills golf course which began construction in 1989 and opened in 1992. The clubhouse along with the fully developed course opened in 1999. the area is also bordered by the West Nose Creek. The neighborhood is often mistaken with Country Hills Estates which lies to the south between Country Hills Golf Club and Beddington Trail which was developed a decade earlier. The new community of Country Hills Village is located in the northeast of the neighbourhood. Country Hills is a generally calm and quiet area.

Tuxedo Park is a residential neighbourhood in the northeast and northwest quadrants of Calgary, Alberta. The inner city community is bounded to the north by 32 Avenue N, by Edmonton Trail to the east, the Trans-Canada Highway to the south and 2 Street NW to the west. The community is bisected by Centre Street from north to south.

Saddle Ridge is a residential neighbourhood in the northeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located at the northeastern edge of the city, and it is bounded to the north by Airport Trail NE, to the east by Stoney Trail NE, to the south by 80 Avenue NE and to the west by Métis Trail. The Saddle Ridge Industrial Area and Calgary International Airport are located west of the neighbourhood.

Castleridge is a residential neighbourhood in the northeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located east of the Calgary International Airport and is bounded by 64 Avenue NE to the north, Métis Trail to the west, McKnight Boulevard to the south and Falconridge Boulevard to the east.
