Kingsland is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded to the north by Glenmore Trail, to the east by Macleod Trail, to the south by Heritage Drive and to the west by Elbow Drive.

The area was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1956 and Kingsland was established in 1957. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 11 councillor. ^[1]

Demographics

In the City of Calgary's 2021 municipal census, Kingsland had a population of 4,900 living in 2,375 dwellings. ^[3] With a land area of 1.3 km² (0.50 sq mi), it had a population density of 3,770/km² (9,800/sq mi) in 2021. ^{[4] [3]}

Residents in this community had a median household income of $68,000 in 2021, and there were 15% low income residents living in Kingsland. ^[5] As of 2021, 33% of the residents were immigrants. A proportion of 54.1% of the buildings were condominiums or apartments, and 68% of the housing was used for renting. 31% of residents in Kingsland spent 30%+ income on housing, compared to the Calgary average of 23%. ^[2]
