Erlton is an inner city residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by the Elbow River to the north and west, by Spiller Road to the east and by Mission Road to the south. Macleod Trail bisects the neighbourhood from north to south. The neighbourhood is represented by the Erlton Community Association. [3]
Erlton was established in 1906. It is represented in the Calgary City Council by the Ward 8 councillor.
The community is served by the Erlton/Stampede station of the C-Train LRT system. The MNP Community & Sport Centre and Lindsay Park border the community to the north, and the Stampede Grounds are located immediately northwest.
In the City of Calgary's 2012 municipal census, Erlton had a population of 1,234 living in 742 dwellings, a 0.2% increase from its 2011 population of 1,231. [2] With a land area of 0.5 km2 (0.19 sq mi), it had a population density of 2,470/km2 (6,400/sq mi) in 2012. [2] [4]
Residents in this community had a median household income of $67,698 in 2000, and there were 20.8% low income residents living in the neighbourhood. [5] As of 2000, 14.6% of the residents were immigrants. A proportion of 70.3% of the buildings were condominiums or apartments, and 42% of the housing was used for renting. [6]

Shaganappi is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located between 17 Avenue SW and the Bow River. The Shaganappi golf course is located north of the Bow Trail.
Applewood Park is a residential neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located at the eastern edge of the city, north of 17 Avenue SE. Elliston Park, the site of GlobalFest fireworks, is located southwest of the community.
Ramsay is a residential neighbourhood in the southeast quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is an inner city community, located east of the Elbow River, Macleod Trail, Stampede Grounds and the Scotiabank Saddledome arena and south of Inglewood. To the southeast, it borders the Alyth-Bonny Brook industrial area. The eastern half of the community consists primarily of older homes and there is an industrial area in the most eastern corner of the community.
North Haven is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. The community is split by a bus trap into "Lower North Haven" on the south side and "Upper North Haven" on the north side.
Mount Pleasant is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located immediately north from the Trans-Canada Highway and the community of Rosedale. To the north and west it is bounded by the Confederation Park.
Capitol Hill is a residential neighbourhood in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is located immediately north of the Trans-Canada Highway, and is bisected by 14th Street West. The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and the North Hill shopping center are located south of the community. To the north it is bounded by the Confederation Park.
Windsor Park is a residential neighbourhood in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is bounded by 50 Avenue S to the north, Macleod Trail to the east, 58 Avenue S to the south and the Calgary Golf & Country Club and Elbow River to the west. Chinook Centre is located southeast of the neighbourhood.
