Elections to Aylesbury Vale District Council were held on 3 May 2007. The whole council was up for election and the Conservative Party held overall control of the council.
The Aylesbury Vale is a large area of gently rolling agricultural landscape located in the northern half of Buckinghamshire, England. Its boundary is marked by the Borough of Milton Keynes and South Northamptonshire to the north, Central Bedfordshire and the Borough of Dacorum (Hertfordshire) to the east, the Chiltern Hills and Wycombe to south, and South Oxfordshire to the west.
The Conservative Party, officially the Conservative and Unionist Party, is a centre-right political party in the United Kingdom. Presently led by Theresa May, it has been the governing party since 2010. It presently has 314 Members of Parliament in the House of Commons, 249 members of the House of Lords, and 18 members of the European Parliament. It also has 31 Members of the Scottish Parliament, 12 members of the Welsh Assembly, eight members of the London Assembly and 9,008 local councillors. One of the major parties of UK politics, it has formed the government on 45 occasions, more than any other party.

Nash is a village and also a civil parish within Aylesbury Vale district in Buckinghamshire, England. It is in the north of the county, about 5 miles (8.0 km) south-west of Milton Keynes and 4 miles (6.4 km) east of Buckingham. According to the 2011 census, the population total of Nash was 417.
David Roy Lidington is a British Conservative Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Aylesbury since 1992. On 8 January 2018, he assumed the roles of Minister for the Cabinet Office and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster. He has been frequently described as Theresa May's de facto deputy Prime Minister.
