The 2015 Chiltern District Council election took place on 7 May 2015 to elect members to all seats of Chiltern District Council in England, [1] [2] as part of the United Kingdom local elections.

By-elections

The single-member Ridgeway ward was vacated at the death of long-standing independent Cllr Derek Lacey. [4] The consequent by-election on 22 March 2018 was won by Conservative candidate Nick Southworth. [5]

The council is unusual in that its executive function is controlled by a directly elected mayor of Torbay, currently Gordon Oliver.

The by-thirds 2015 Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council election took place on Thursday 7 May 2015, to elect approximately one third of the members of the Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council in England as part of the United Kingdom local elections, 2015 held on the same day as the general election. Elections to elect all members (councillors) of Thanet District Council were held on 7 May 2015, as part of the United Kingdom local elections, 2015 taking place simultaneously with the 2015 General Election. Local UK Independence Party candidates won the council, becoming the governing group, the first time UKIP had won control of any type of local government unit above the level of a civil parish council, whether London Borough, Metropolitan Borough, Unitary Authority, Non-Metropolitan Borough or a District Council. The District has as its main towns the beach resort towns of Ramsgate, Margate and Broadstairs.

2018 Manchester City Council election

Although the council is normally elected in thirds, all 96 council seats were up for election due to boundary changes. Labour retained its near-complete dominance of the council. The sole change was that the Liberal Democrats gained a second seat in Didsbury West.

2017 City of London Corporation election elections to the Court of Common Council of the City of London Corporation on 22 March 2017

The 2017 City of London Corporation election took place on 23 March 2017 to elect members of the Court of Common Council in the City of London Corporation, England. These elections take place every four years. As in the previous election, the vast majority of Council members were elected as independents.

2019 Manchester City Council election

Elections to Manchester City Council will be held on 2 May 2019, as part of the United Kingdom local elections, 2019. In 2018 Labour retained its near-complete dominance of the council with the Liberal Democrats making up the opposition led by former MP John Leech.
