Birur Junction railway station, also known as Biruru Junction railway station (station code: RRB) is an Indian Railways station in Birur in Kadur, Chikkamagaluru district, Karnataka. [1]

Birur Junction is an important railway station,as far from pre-independence era. It is the most important railway junction in Chikkamagaluru district. This Junction acts as a nexus point between Bengaluru and Shivamogga and north Karnataka city of Hubballi. This junction belongs to Mysuru division of South-western Railway Zone of Indian Railways. Many intrastate and inter-state trains have their stoppage here. [2]

The Bangalore–Arsikere–Hubli line is a major railway line in the Indian state of Karnataka connecting state capital Bangalore with city of Hubballi in north-central Karnataka.
