Bruce Silverstein Gallery is a photographic art gallery in the Chelsea section of Manhattan, New York City. It was started in 2001 by Bruce Silverstein. [1] The gallery is a member of the Association of International Photography Art Dealers. [2]

Exhibitions

The gallery has shown work by artists including Constantin Brâncuși, [3] Marie Cosindas [4] F. The gallery has participated in art fairs including Paris Photo, [19] Art Basel Miami Beach [20] and The Armory Show. [21]

Rosalind Fox Solomon is an American photographer based in New York City.

Frank Paulin was born in Pittsburgh was an American artist and photographer. Paulin grew up in New York City and Chicago. At the age of 16 in 1942, his photographic education began as an art apprentice at Whittaker-Christiansen Studio, Chicago. In 1944, Paulin joined the Army, spending two years in the Signal Corps in Europe. During this time, Paulin developed his documentary artistic style by photographing wartime devastation of German cities. In 1946, Paulin returned to Chicago and enrolled at the Institute of Design, By the end of the 1950s, Frank Paulin's educational resume included studies at the New School under the renowned art director Alexey Brodovitch. In 1957, Paulin celebrated his first solo artist exhibition at the Limelight Gallery. Frank Paulin died in 2016.

Todd Hido is an American photographer. He has produced 17 books, had his work exhibited widely and included in various public collections. Hido is currently an adjunct professor at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco.

Marie Cosindas was an American photographer. She was best known for her evocative still lifes and color portraits. Her use of color photography in her work distinguished her from other photographers in the 1960s and 1970s. Most of her photographs were portraits and pictures of objects like dolls, flowers, and masks.

Trine Søndergaard, is a Danish photography-based visual artist. Trine Søndergaard lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Nicolai Howalt is a Danish visual artist and contemporary photographer.

Mariah Robertson is an American artist. She lives in New York City.

Markus Dochantschi is a German-born architect based in New York. He is a registered architect in the United Kingdom and Germany, as well as a member of the American Institute of Architects. As the founder and principal of studioMDA, a New York–based, multidisciplinary design firm, Dochantschi has been recognized as one of the world's preeminent designers of art and cultural spaces. Dochantschi and his firm have designed more than thirty galleries, and over 200 international art booths and exhibitions, earning Dochantschi the title of "the Art World's New Go-To Architect” in 2017. The firm has also designed institutional buildings, auction houses, and private residences.

Ryan Ponder McNamara is an American artist known for fusing dance, theater, and history into situation-specific, collaborative performances. McNamara has held performances and exhibitions at Art Basel, The High Line, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, The Whitney Museum, MoMA P.S.1, and The Kitchen amongst other places.
