Burchard is a village in Pawnee County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 78 at the 2020 census. [3] The village is approximately 10 miles from the Nebraska-Kansas border and ten miles west of Pawnee City. [5]
Burchard was platted in 1881 when the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad was extended to that point. [6] [7] The community was named after a local clergyman. [8] Burchard was incorporated as a village in 1884. [9]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.16 square miles (0.41 km2), all land. [10]

The average household size was 2.41 and the average family size was 3.04.
