Cabot is an unincorporated community in Butler County, Pennsylvania, United States.
Cabot was founded in 1806 as a rural community in Winfield Township. The community was first founded by Frederick Doerr, but the town eventually became named after Godfrey Lowell Cabot, who founded the Cabot Academy. The community has a history of being an agricultural community closely associated with Winfield Township.
Eight-year-old Cherrie Mahan, the first child featured on the direct-mailer marketer company ADVO's "Have You Seen Me?" program, disappeared after getting off her school bus near her home near Cabot on February 22, 1985. She has never been found.

The town sign at the intersection of U.S. 231 and Elkhart Street describes Leroy as "One of Lake County's First Irish Settlements". The town contains the Living Testimony Church, which was founded in 1888 and still holds services to this day.
Palmer is an unincorporated community in Winfield Township, Lake County, Indiana. A 2003 article in The Times described the town as "home to 57 residents, 19 homes". A sign on Randolph street near the entrance to the town describes the population as "Just The Way We Like It". Palmer lies along the site of a railroad line that has since been torn up. It is located approximately one-quarter mile south of the southwestern corner of the Lakes of the Four Seasons housing development, and is bordered on the west and south by the incorporated town of Winfield.
John Cabot was an Italian navigator and explorer. His 1497 voyage to the coast of North America under the commission of Henry VII, King of England is the earliest known European exploration of coastal North America since the Norse visits to Vinland in the eleventh century. To mark the celebration of the 500th anniversary of Cabot's expedition, both the Canadian and British governments declared Cape Bonavista, Newfoundland as representing Cabot's first landing site. However, alternative locations have also been proposed.
