Chamravattam is a village located in Malappuram district, Kerala, India. This village is on the shores of the Bharathapuzha.
With the fulfillment of the Akshaya Project initiated by the Kerala State information technology mission, Chamaravattam is the first 100 per cent computer-literate village in the nation of India. At least one member of each family will be able to use a personal computer for such tasks as editing pictures, composing text, surfing the Internet and sending e-mails. [1]
This also known as Chamravattam Palam or Chamravattam Bridge or Chamravattam Regulator-cum-Bridge or Chamravattam RcB or just Chamravattam Project. Chamravattam Regulator-cum-Bridge, is built across Bharathapuzha aka Nila. [2] The bridge has 978 m length and 10.5 m width. It connects Ponnani and Tirur.

Malampuzha River is one of the tributaries of the river Kalpathipuzha. Malampuzha Dam is built across the river at Malampuzha about 8 km from the Palakkad town in the Indian state of Kerala. The reservoir formed by the Malampuzha Dam is 23.13 square kilometres in area and is the second largest reservoir in Kerala after the Idukki reservoir. The construction of Malampuzha dam started in the year 1949 and was completed in the year 1955. The project is estimated to have cost around Rs. 5.3 Crores. Malampuzha river joins Kalpathipuzha, a tributary of Bharathapuzha at Palakkad. Kalpathipuzha then flows westward to join Kannadipuzha at Parali to form Bharathapuzha, which ultimately flows until Ponnani, passing through towns and villages Mankara, Pathirippala, Lakkidi, Thiruvilwamala, Ottapalam, Mayannur, Shoranur, Cheruthuruthy, Thirumittakode, Pattambi, Thrithala, Kudallur, Kuttippuram, Thirunavaya and Chamravattom.
Kudallur is in the Palakkad district of Kerala. It is in Pattambi taluk, bordering Malappuram district, also on the banks of Bharathapuzha. The Bharathappuzha river separates Kudallur from Kuttippuram town in Malappuram district. Kudallur is a part of Thrithala and Ponnani.
The Akshaya project, first started in the rural areas of Malappuram district of Kerala, India, and now spread all around the state, was the first district-wide e-literacy project in India and one of the largest known Internet Protocol (IP) based wireless networks in the world. In November 2002, the state government of Kerala put into place a project, piloted in Malappuram, with the goal of at least one person in every family to be computer literate in that district. Malappuram is now what is said to be India's First E-literate District. The mission continues to make Kerala the First E-literate state in India.

Bharathappuzha, also known as the Nila or Ponnani River, or Kuttippuram River, is a river in India in the state of Kerala. With a length of 209 km, it is the second longest river that flows through Kerala after the Periyar. It flows through Palakkad Gap, which is also the largest opening in the Kerala portion of Western Ghats. Nila has groomed the culture and life of South Malabar part of Kerala. It is also referred to as "Peraar" in ancient scripts and documents. River Bharathapuzha is an interstate river and lifeline water source for a population residing in four administrative districts, namely Malappuram and Palakkad districts, and parts of Palakkad-Thrissur district border of Kerala and Coimbatore, and Tiruppur of Tamil Nadu. The fertile Thrissur-Ponnani Kole Wetlands lie on its bank.
The Chamravattam Regulator-cum-Bridge, also known as Chamravattam Palam or Chamravattam Bridge, Chamravattam RcB, or Chamravattam Project, is built across Bharathapuzha aka Nila near Chamravattam, Triprangode, in Malappuram district. This seems to be the largest of its type in Kerala, India. The bridge has 978 m (3,209 ft) length and 10.5 m (34 ft) width. It connects Ponnani and Tirur. Regulator cum bridge is now just working as a bridge due to faulty design as per the conclusion in the detailed technical investigation report done by the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi on the directions of the Government of Kerala. There is also a false allegation that sand for construction was taken from river without payment for the same though the sand was paid for by the contractors at prices fixed by the Government of Kerala. This price was based on the prevailing sand prices in the open market and arrived at by the revenue department of Kerala. On account of these false allegations, the contractors for the work are yet to be paid in full for this work though it’s been nearing a decade since the work has been completed and the bridge has been used on a 24/7 basis throughout.
Kumbidi is a village in Pattambi taluk of Palakkad district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is the administrative headquarters and main commercial centre of Anakkara Panchayath. It is situated opposite to Kuttippuram town and adjacent to Thavanur and Tirunavaya towns. Kumbidi town area extends from town centre to the surrounding areas such as Ummathur, Thottazhiyam, Perumbalam, Panniyur, Puramathilssery, Maniyam Perumbalam and Melazhiyam. It is located on the southern bank of Bharathappuzha river. Kumbidi is located about 5 km south of Kuttippuram town. It was a part of Ponnani taluk until 16 June 1969.

The Kuttippuram Bridge is a bridge that connects Kuttippuram with Thavanur-Ponnani region in Malappuram district, Kerala, India. The Tirur and the Ponnani Taluks are separated by the river Bharathappuzha, which is also the second-longest river in Kerala. The bridge connects these two regions. It is a part of the National Highway 66 on Kozhikode - Kochi route. It is one of the largest as well as oldest bridges built over the river Bharathappuzha, and plays a major role in connecting the Malabar region with the erstwhile Travancore-Cochin via road.
